The thing Cavill’s Superman was missing was being a good person just because.

Cap. More BS and i will call it out every time. Even as a child he's shown with his cape imagining himself as a hero and by grade school he's saving his classmates from a bus accident.

Pa didn't tell him to do that... Pa actually told him not to because people weren't ready.. which was true. But he even then at a young age was doing that because he felt it was the right thing to do.. it was inherent. Yeah.. he struggled with humans at times because it was a more grounded approach to the character there was gonna be internal conflict..

But he was always good.. he was always a hero.

DC is not just fine. DC has had mostly misses when it comes to live-action films in the past 10 years.

That's not true at all.. Joker was the most profitable CBM of all time and won awards. Wonder Woman and Aquaman were huge successes. The Suicide Squad was more of an HBO Max movie but had rave reviews and audience response which turned into Peacemaker having the same success on the platform.

You have to understand one thing. it doesn't matter what your personal feelings are. Remove those.. post the facts. The facts are they are more than fine.

I stated facts and the box office proves it. Also, I said MOSTLY misses. Of course, DC has had a FEW successful films in the past 10 years.....but not much.

Those are facts not an opinion, buddy :manny:

Well then clearly you have no idea what the fucc you are saying.

Box Office: 'Joker' Surpasses $1 Billion Globally - Variety

Given its modest $62.5 million budget, “Joker” has become one of the most profitable superhero movies of all time.
OK and? :dwillhuh:

Anyways, most DC films aren't making a billion dollars and aren't getting good reviews at the box office. That has been the case for the past 10 years. Also, everyone knows that Marvel rules live-action films meanwhile DC rules animation. This is literally common knowledge :gucci:

What are you not understanding? Having a FEW success films in a 10 year span is NOTHING. There's a reason why WB is rebooting the DCEU. That's because their films have been for the most part - FAILURES :gucci:

'Peacemaker' is the biggest streaming TV series in the world right now, as HBO Max originals gain momentum.

"Peacemaker," starring John Cena in the title role, surpassed Netflix's hit fantasy series "The Witcher" and Disney+'s "Star Wars" show "The Book of Boba Fett" in demand.

It reflects the growing popularity of HBO Max originals. Throughout 2021, total demand for Max series grew by 39.2%. Demand for Netflix originals in the same 12-month period grew by 10.3%.
He said mostly misses. Of the 10 films that D.C. released in the past 10 years you only mentioned 3 as being successful. You tried to throw in "the Suicide Squad" but that was not really a success.

So 7 out of ten were either a commercial or critical failures is mostly misses.

You just made my point.

The parents are the reinforcement. They are supposed to nurture that desire so when he’s an adult he doesn’t become the drifter.

If someone showed talent for music but their guardians were like nah. Don’t bother, people are going to hate you and your music… you.d probably consider it bad that they didn’t help that person with their gift.

That’s not grounded. It’s just lazy. Being a good musician is hard. Being a good person is hard. Artificially creating conflict isn’t hard.

The idea to distrust people of Earth, who he should want to protect as his home, and not stand firm as the kid you see in the beginning( that you pointed out) is the problem. Pa Kent/Snyder cuts his “good” legs from under him. Instead of gaining confidence from doing the right thing despite the risk he’s a nervous wreck who wanders the Earth looking for purpose.

Which again is fine. But how they got that drifter to Superman was lazy and uninspired. He’s just outed like a gay man.

im only gonna respond to you once because you are an alias. You post about Marvel movies and fukking Bernie Sanders and AOC.

"The Suicide Squad" was a success. it was a same day release on HBO Max. You can't view box office when it was watched for free by everyone with HBO.

Critics loved the movie as did audiences by several metrics and now it's spawned one of the most popular shows on TV. How's that not a success?

Plus HBO just green lit a second James Gunn spinoff. So now two spin offs but 'not a success' huh? :russ:
