Cause there’s never been one male character in television history that male fans have hated. Everyone on here just loves Mattson and Menken right? Or maybe, just maybe, writers should stop making “being a woman” the only depth used to counter all the shytty things they’ve been as characters.Nobody hated Peggy Olsen on Mad Men. Because she had actual depth. Her character gave us an arch to root for. We were able to excuse her flaws because we saw a bigger picture for her. She wasn’t an annoying antagonist who’s sole purpose was to judge the protagonist while having damn near all the same flaws. Blaming the audience and not the writers for Carmella Soprano or Skylar White’s only character positives being that they were the wives of a terrible men is lazy.

after seeing the finale, I we all now know why the creator's named sara snook's character "shiv" 
She went with them but she was mad she was cut out and had no other choice. She didn’t even know it was Tom until the morning of at her fathers house.
And I’m so tired of y’all watching these shows with the most literal perspectives. That’s gotta be boring as fukk. Of course I wouldn’t trust Kendall in real fukking life. I’m enjoying the show in the world they built, within its imaginative construction. He lost the company 7-6. Not 13-0. Not 10-3. Obviously people believed him or agreed with how he felt about selling. Meaning it’s not the CRAZIEST thing in the world. The shows entire premise is that all these people are dumb and evil. Kendall is an idiot which several flashes of competence. The show made it a point to show us he’s actually no dumber than Mattson.

He had to lie about it in that moment, she was using it as a weapon against him. "You can't be CEO, you killed somebody..." I too would tread carefully with my response.Kendall lied about leaving the kid to die in the car. She couldn’t trust Kendall. Dude was always trash. Toms ascension was in her best interest. Tom is the only winner out of this. Even after Lukas is done with him, he was a CEO for a major (possibly Fortune 500) company. He'll always be able to find a huge paying executive position. Winner winner chicken dinner.Toms character has moved on from the relationship in that way. The marriage is basically a facade and Tom is fine with that. Shiv trying to get Tom back when she was on the jet and Tom saying “yeah I dunno Shiv“ is just another indicator that Tom only allowed himself to me manipulated before to get what he wants out of it, because that’s his natural personality. Today a ton of shyt a longs he gets what he wants. He told Mattson that when they had a heart to heart. That isn’t manipulation at all. It’s self deprecating to an end. It’s allowing her to think she was manipulating him because she can’t really. He did so because he loved her. But now the last 2 seasons have shown that Tom is 100% comfortable with caring about Shiv but not being with her. Especially after he released the flutes on her when they were on the terrace. The dynamic has changed, Shiv knows she loves Tom and she tries to convince him to give in to her, and Tom has repeatedly cooked her for it this season. Shiv is Tom from the first 2 seasons. Playing off their relationship to try to angle for position and power.
Tom 100% won. He is the CEO of Waystar/Gojo, he has secured his money (that talk with Shiv about money), he has Greg and if he wants, he has Shiv. If anybody won, it’s Tom.
