When Sonny was the heir, Vito was actively coaching him up. We never saw that from Logan (not saying it didn’t happen). Maybe it did and they were so terrible that Logan gave up but from what we saw on the show, he treated his kids like kids the entire time. And that’s because he had this, “get it from the Mud” view on business that Vito never had. Vito built everything he had and never despised Sonny for inheriting it without a quarter of the sweat equity because he understood that’s what you did it all for.

Exactly, I don't know if posters skim content or simply lack the intelligence to process what they're watching, how can anyone compare Vito's parenting to Logan's :laff:

Nah I disagree Kendall was a piece of shyt and besides a few glimpses he’s not capable of being great as ceo either
Plus him with this “he promised me when I was 7” shyt definitely got annoying for Roman and shiv. None of them deserved shyt. That’s why Roman calling them bullshyt resonated to me. They were all nepo babies. They all would be rich forever with or without waystar thanks to their dad who in the end himself didn’t even know who he wanted
He wasn’t saying that to say that that’s why he deserved it though. He was saying that to explain why he wanted it so much. Like, “Dad really fukked us each up in his own way”. It explained his character from the entire show and truthfully from our perspective, he had the greatest claim to it. Idk why nikkas are killing us for being sympathetic to a character the show spent 4 seasons wanting us to sympathize with. Of course we know he sucks, of course he’d be a shaky CEO. But he was the most qualified, even with his addiction.

Roman was in fukking leadership classes in season one because Logan’s spiteful ass decided he’d rather try to coach him up last minute to spite Kendall for taking a shot at the throne.

Shiv never even expressed interest in the family until she saw it was viable to take over and Logan only entertained her when he realized Roman was a weirdo.

tom isn't the better pick. he's just a lapdog. typical middle manager who brownoses his way up the corporate ladder without much substance.
Even without Mattson involved, i think Tom would be a decent CEO. He would never have his own ideas, but he’d listen to his team and the company probably coasts through for another decade as is. Kendall would constantly take wild swings imo, even with good intent. Some of them would work, others would fail miserably.

loved how greg hit tom back and still in the game

I feel like succession is a show that will get the big treatment one day ala sopranos sex and the city deadwood.

Id love to see the fall out of these people in the future. Apparently they did film kendall jumping into the river but im glad he didnt kill himself.

That’s been Ken the entire time though. Why go with it just cause you’re mad it’s not you and then pull out last second? Everyone talking about Ken being cocky, y’all act like he had weeks to sure this up. That meeting in the Caribbean was literally the night before the vote. He had 6 votes and his sister made the deciding 7. She told him she was in and backed out last minute when she “had time to think about it”? It’s the same argument we had about Rava. No matter how pure the reasoning, telling someone something that monumentally fukked up, so last second it brutal.
Can yall stop with this it "was some emotional shyt/she was jealous she didnt get it"? If it was based on that, she wouldve never agreed to give it to him in the first place. Shiv's decision to go with Ken to begin with was based on the "she mad it's not her" against Tom. When she got to the meeting and thought "Damn this really happening" is when she really thought about shyt. Rome was hesitate too........even after Ken abused him for the vote.

Only point about Ken y’all made that I agree with is that he should have never trusted them. But again, it’s not like he had a bunch of options and he spurned them cause Shiv was good.
Idk what you arguing? Who said the choice wasnt brutal?

So with you trusting Kendall with your 3 Billion dollars then?

Roman started faltering once he saw Gerri in the building, and he wondered out loud why he couldn’t be CEO. He was also worried that his injuries weren’t severe enough (which I didn’t fully understand). I think Ken’s reaction was him establishing dominance over Roman again and/or giving Roman the spark he needed to follow through with backing Ken (a mix of physical pain and being uncomfortable that gives him a rush, and the attention that he’s always seeking).

They’ve hinted before that Roman was physically abused and he’s the only kid we’ve seen Logan actually hit, so it was also Ken adopting that part of Logan’s persona.
Damn he fukked those kids up :wow:

You on point with that ken should kept selling them on the point that he trying to keep the company in control of the family and he the best one to lead the effort to do that and not look like he was only trying to keep the company for himself I mean earlier in the season that what he did with rome :snoop:

When victory seems certain he loses focus and becomes even more self-absorbed, that's always been Ken

I’m glad they didn’t go that route…would’ve been too dramatic…I like that it’s open-ended
