i hate to say it but the Hopper in Russia/Hopper rescue storyline and El getting her powers back shyt isn't that interesting to me... some of it borderline cringey

and it's taking up a lot of screen time. we on the last episode and I'm kinda feeling by a lot of it.

This is how the show has always been. That's why the writing is so good.

You'd think it would be obvious day one shyt for a writer but everything in your story should connect directly to the plot. Stranger things does a masterful job of this

If you pay attention you'll see a lot of current GOAT material follows this format. No main characters and a loaded cast that works out their parts of the plot in small groups. These groups then combine with their puzzle pieces to try to solve the main problem. If you do it right people feel like they're watching 3-4 movies/shows at once

Game of Thrones, Stranger Things, Infinity War(and Phase 1-3 for that matter), Cobra Kai follow this format and have huge fanbases(HAD in the case of Thrones)

And the benefit of a large main cast with no main characters is the possibility of multiple mini fanbases for one story

I enjoyed watching this but this is just a filler season and it should have been the storyline for season 2


It just doesn't make sense at this stage of the show.

You can't have two seasons of them fighting the main boss and then throw in a damn lieutenant as the main villain of a season. With how Vecna's powers are it makes no sense as to why he wasn't in the previous two season
