Who's going to explain all that shyt? They haven't explored it enough, no one knows what's going on.
If it wasn't for the pumpkins dying the govt wouldn't have shown up in time to save Hopper and them from out of the tunnel, that they had no clue about.

I think the highs of season 2 are better than anything in season 1 but as a whole, it lacks the consistency of season 1 and there are a lot of pacing issues.
I understood why Hopper was so protective of 11 but the way he was acting during their argument just seemed 
and out of character to me.
Had mixed feelings about Billy. Don’t think he was really necessary for the overall plot but he was entertaining enough as a character that I didn’t mind him being there.
Pacing was off on this one. First season was a slow build too but the tension and intrigue was always there. I was missing that in this one.
I don’t think episode 7 was unnecessary. It helped add more depth to 11’s character arc and amped up her backstory. The problem was the execution was TERRIBLE and the writing and characters were significantly worse than any other episodes and characters on the show.
Luckily they went from the worst episode of the series to arguably the best episode with 8. That was some 55 points in Game 2 after going 0 for 20 in game 1 type shyt lol

Biggest influences this season seemed to be Jurassic Park, Aliens, Gremlins and the Exorcist
I also liked the more subtle references like the scene with Nancy and Jonathan in the reporter’s home mirroring the scene in Temple of Doom when Indy and Willie are thinking about smashing lol
Kid who plays Will is the best actor on the show, man he really went through some shyt
Billy and Nancy’s Mom was like the beginning of an 80s porno
Loved Paul Reiser’s character. I thought he would eventually turn out to be evil but he remained a decent dude through the very end. Glad that they didn’t just do a carbon copy of Papa from the first season
Overall a great but flawed season. Bring on season 3.

Thinking about this some more, they've only partially debunked this theory.
We pretty much know by now that 011 didn't create the Demogorgon and the Upside-Down, but what about:
Numbers 009, 010, and all the other kids before 008? Maybe one of THEM created/is the Mind Flayer??

. Wish he would have lived - his character was like the grown-up version of the main character kids. I don't know where the show is going from this season forward. The episode with 008 wasn't bad - just felt like a wasted episode.
Don't understand how Hopper was murking demodogs w the shotty and the AR, but them troops we're getting fukked up with the same weapons.

Real spill, I was scared that he was gonna catch a whipping Charlottesville style from Max's brother. Was gonna have to turn the show off. - Dustin was good comic relief. El pointed out that he got them chompers now lmao
- The actor playing Will did a real good job. I called him out his name when he lined up the troops to lose
- Mike had a lesser role this season. He did well though
