:mjlol:at someone being too smart to become an alcoholic.
They don't live in the real world. I have a genius grandfather who drank a bottle of vodka every night and damaged his motor coordination as a result. Addiction dodges NO ONE. Nobody is too good to fall to it.

That just reminded me of my dad's friend. He was an engineer just like my dad. He would alwayss bring his kids over and we would play all day.

Man got laid off and just fell into deep depression and became an alcoholic.

Wife divorced him eventually and he was on the streets homeless.

Last my dad heard he was back at his mom dying from cancer in the liver probably from the liquor
Right and this is what I'm talking about. That's the polar opposite of a functional alcoholic. Alcohol is a natural depressant in itself. But for some people it makes them feel happy. I was always happy when I was drinking. Not sad when I didn't, but just wasn't near as happy and my attitude could be shytty if I didn't get that drank. :russ:

But there are countless cases of what your dad's friend when through. People automatically some it's hardcore drugs when seeing homeless. I bet shyt at least half of them are alcoholics.

It's correct that Franklin wasn't crazy. But money was his addiction and his behavior and the reason why he lost it all is a classic example of a compulsive gambler. Addiction can be of anything and for Franklin it was the high of getting a huge lump sum of cash like you would from a casino. But once he crapped out, he needed to chase that money and risked it all in hopes to get that jackpot.

I dont doubt the effects,I doubt the time frame for it to be only alchohol. If it looks like crack,in a neighborhood full of crack, its probably crack:francis:. When in Rome, what reason did Franklin have to not ever do crack,in the heart of crack central?

But like I said, maybe its possible if he lost his mind immediately and just stopped brushing period I guess? But Leon didnt act like his breath was that unbearable when he said he was proud of him:scust:. Only way he stops brushing immediately after the empty safe, would be if he lost his marbles.

And im talking lose his mind as in schyzophrenia or something, not a gambling addiction. I honestly didnt see him as a gambling addict personally. He was perfectly content leaving the game with his 72 million. No reason to believe he wouldnt have been perfectly happy as a real estate mogul.

He just seemed addicted to having control over his situation, and everyone involved in his life, just like Teddy. Once he lost control over his situation, and lost control over the people in his life,he didnt handle it well.

Dude, people become addicts "out of nowhere" all the time

Now, imagine that in a few years, you kill your best friend, go to jail, get shot by your girlfriend after killing her father, go to war with your auntie & uncle, have your father murdered by your boss, AND lose the equivalent of $200 million AND your girlfriend runs away with the last of your money.

I've already explained this breh

Let's call it out for what it is,

They were scared to fully villainize Franklin.

If they had him do what he did without the alcohol element viewers would have wanted the character dead at the end and a "sad/tragic ending" would not have worked or even made logical sense.

And it's why the whole sudden alcohol element was cheap because the show setting up for Franklin from the start of season 5 to turn on his closest ones WILLINGLY but the show then abandoned that in the last episode.

She didnt take it all, he had millions in the spring street property that he couldve sold.
It made sense what she did. He put his hands on her about the spring st property. So she put him in a position to be forced to sell the property anyway.
He was just stupid as hell to not sell it. Instead of selling the property immediately when he found out what V did, he just let the bank take it when payments became due.
She did take all his liquid cash, bruh.

She took the equivalent of $2.2 million dollars in 2023 money from this man's account.

It wasn't her money and she had no business taking that much.

If she was that "concerned" she could've took or a 3rd and been completely fine by 1986 standards.

She did that out of spite and because she's a scammer

It wasn't "sudden"

It was after tragedy after tragedy after tragedy in his life.

Lots of people "spontaneously" develop a drug or alcohol problem after losing a child or a parent or a spouse.

Meanwhile, this nikka loses his whole family & $200 million dollars in todays money, but he's got a "sudden" problem. :stopitslime:

Finally watched it.
Miguel had 3 kids man :mjcry:

I knew this was how it was gonna end they foreshadowed it the whole season with him fiening for that money.

He should have sold the property found a connect and sold to skully.

You know the Feds, whether it's the CIA or the DEA would not let him build again.
