DEA didnt really have much on Franklin. Remember when Oso told Franklin he was working with him? He told Franklin he didnt tell the DEA about him, but they knew about Louie. It's why Franklin was able to call Louie and tell her they were coming for her.
Why fukk Leon? Leon gave him 500k before. Also Franklin didnt want 500k-1M, he wants all of Leon's 3M.fukk the moms, baby moms and most of all Leon. He coulda helped him a lil, threw him a lil $500k-$1M. Franklin coulda got another plug and rebuilt or something. And how you be up $70M and ain’t have no assets you coulda sold to be up a couple Mil of shyt went south??? He shoulda had cars, houses, jewelry/gold/diamonds and just random shyt that’s worth money smh.
Franklin coudlve also sold the spring street property for 2-5M and "rebuilt", but he chose to let it go instead.
I feel like Franklin did respect Altons black panther history which is why he tried to save Alton. It was just once Alton start trying to use Black Panther shyt to justify destroying Franklins operation,that he had no respect for what Alton was talking about
Came across an old episode where they had that barbecue. And Alton tells Franklin he doesnt have shyt to apologize for when it comes to being a drunk and a deadbeat. Because all he ever wanted was to be his own man. Definitely sounds like Franklin in the finale. Franklin became the two men he most admired,and most hated. First he turned into Teddy,then he turned into Alton by the finale

Remember oso told Franklin dea had nothing on him. But they had pictures of Louie and Jerome. Only reason they didn’t he e anything in Franklin cause they wasn’t on oso until Franklin had completely quit and they was only supplying Louie and Rome.The finale was depressing, but very powerful. I was expecting to learn a little more about Louie's fate. Weird that the DEA are still after her but not Franklin.
I was so convinced that Franklin would end up dead or in jail. I never predicted this fate worse than death where he ends up a crazed, alcoholic homeless man. He's basically in the same position as his father in the first season of the series.
Leon even hinted at the (potential) spinoff about Wanda and LA hip-hop in the 90's.
The best part of the episode was the inside joke of Franklin and Leon finding a movie set and yelling "You won't win an Oscar for that!" - of course that references Boyz n the Hood and John Singleton was nominated for an Oscar for it. A fitting tribute.

I didn't see this talked about much but those jailhouse scenes with Cissy and Franklin hit HARD. She came to hear him out but as SOON as that boy continued ranting about money, she hung up that phone. I don't care how hard a man is, when your mama looks at you like a disappointment and a failure, that shyt burns slow.
Franklin was acting like my cousin who became a drunk and a paranoid nervous wreck after going through alot of shyt.
My cuz one day hit me up saying he need a $100 to pay off a judge for his gun charge lol
i told him I’ll give him a money order
he was so mad when I told him that. he felt defeated
my cuz don’t smoke or nothing. He just fell victim to what 98% of my immediate family fell into. alcohol. And it only got worst when he was in the car where my auntie got murdered

shyt he ain’t even offer a smaller amount. He said he wanted to respect moms wishes and not help him with money at all. Like he coulda at least had a trust or something set up to pay the man taxes on the crib so he could have somewhere to live. I dunno, I woulda helped him if I was Leon, no way in hell Franklin would’ve been a broke ass drunk. I woulda took a couple hundred grand and opened a legit business for him to run or something. I couldn’t leave the nikka down bad like that.
