Really stuck on that ending :wow: I hated that shyt for bro, but it’s so rare to let the floor really drop out like that on the main protag, with no life raft, even just in a movie where you invested a couple hrs, let alone years of hours into a series. And they didn’t make him a hood superstar dead or in jail like I keep seeing nikkas clamor for. As far as final images, none stick out to me as much as this one (ignore the recency bias).
What sticks out to be the most is him asking why would his moms do that shyt.. reminds me of when Preach from Coolie high asking why would they kill Cocheese man :mjcry:

Of course it was unrealistic :dahell:, with how Franklin has been written for the past 6 seasons he would never just suddenly take a drink.

That would be like Teddy suddenly becoming a drug addict when he got fired from the CIA which was his entire world :mjlol:

It's one thing if the show over the course of the season maybe had Franklin being tempted or showed him leaning for a vice, instead here it's he see's a drink and just has it. One of the most forced scenes I've seen. Timeline wise it didn't even make sense. Breh had a whole a KGB agent he was talking about trading and using as a negotiation tactic 5 minutes prior to running into that bar but then forgets about him :mjlol:

Every alcoholic out there had their first drink at some point... some of it happened gradually, sometimes it happened spur of the moment... how you think MFs become alcoholics? :yeshrug:

Great series, Great ending

Personally seeing drug dealers who at one point was the man and to see a few either become paid workers with minimum jobs or out on the streets asking for a dollar , shows u how life in the game comes to a end on a negative side

Unlike Franklin many brothers had like 1 or 2 years of good living in the street life and now 30 to 40 years in prison

Parissa turned out be a pretty useless character. Didn't even show up in the finale.
In general, yea, but she was inserted to give Teddy something to live for so when it came down to the face off between him and franklin, there would be more at stake.

But the way they set her up as some ride or die, I definitely thought she’d be in the action somehow

:salute:to a great series. Not Wire level :whoa: but great in it's own lane.

When it 1st aired, I assumed Louie was looking all shook because she was scared the DEA might not believe the couple and would want to look around. On 2nd watch last night I can see how some could believe she thought they might snitch. But white lady never missed a beat with her answers so IMO whether they knew Louie shyt in detail or not, they weren't giving her up. I think that was fear of knowing the DEA still on your ass.

Speaking of the DEA.....I thought GayGB killed duke that showed up looking for Louie?? Wasn't he in the car when he "rescued" Oso??

I thought Saint was ASS ASS out when Teddy took the 73 mil. I didn't realize he still had around 800k in the bank, real estate properties generating income, and a stake in a project that could also be leveraged for millions. Don't get me wrong, I'd be furious too. And on a mission to get my shyt back. I would NOT have robbed my aunt and uncle on some BS. When I catch Teddy I'm not setting for half my dough either. I woulda tortured that nikka for ALL my cash. Cuz you HAD wiggle room. But Franklin was addicted to the cash. It drove him crazy. And he thought Teddy was really a friend. Viewers can take solace in that for Franklins actions. No Veronique lol.

Glad Lee made it out. I just knew Deon or the nikka he beat over the Jordans was gonna hop out the bushes or sumn. FX still dumb for announcing the Wanda sequel. Did they think they did something by not mentioning Isiah John (Lee)? Either he ain't in it or he's being recast. Gail Bean can hold down her own show. I dunno about him.

Once again......:salute:
Franklin’s downfall was believing Teddy had his best interest at heart on how to manage his money… Franklin should’ve known to not ever once trust Teddy just off the strength of how they even met.. Frank should have stashed half of the money in the bank Teddy told him too and the other half somewhere only Franklin knows.. That way when shyt hit the fan and Teddy took that money in the bank Frank wouldn’t have even stressed it but still go after Teddy and torcher his cac ass.. Even if Crissy did the same shyt and killed Teddy facts would have been Frank still sitting on 35 million,,, but didn’t happen that way and Franks only focus was getting that money back which became his tunnel vision

people not understanding that once you touching 8 figures, you losing perspective on the value of $12,000 for a bit
Facts… It’s kinda like when you use to seeing 12k a paycheck and then you get that vacation check where you didn’t work overtime and that shyt $2500… You lookin at that shyt like wtf but folk who making less than 50k a year would love a check for $2500 a pay day

what an awfully written show.

so many plot holes and lack of consistency. its as if the writers forgot whole sections of earlier seasons.

People don’t hate the ending because it wasnt a happy ending

They hate the ending because they forcingly made him an alcoholic out of nowhere

If they wanted to make it realistic he shoulda took his first drink way back in Season 4. Maybe while he was on a cane to ease his injuries or to deal with the stress of the manboy and skully situation. Shoulda been gradual

many people feel Franklin was way too methodical and straight edge to fall victim to alcohol. most of the drug dealers who were big time and became drug addicts were never disciplined in the first place most of them were sex addicts who sniffed coke while they was on top which is why alot of them were ultra violent. Franklin was none of that, he was faithful to all his women, never drank or smoked. his main goal was business

so to see him randomly become an alcoholic (even though he became desperate for his money that was stolen from him) is viewed as bad writing

a more fitting ending for him woulda been Henry Hill’s ending in Goodfellas or jail.

me personally i feel they shoulda went the Harry O route and had him get locked up and giving Leon all his financial assets to start a gangsta rap label which would have segway’d into the spinoff and made Leon become Suge Knight and made music industry power be Leon’s addiction like how the drug game power was Franklin’s.

Extreme stress can make even the most methodical people do shyt you never thought they would do. Also it’s not like he became an alcoholic overnight, that was over a 15-month span

The Louie being broke on the run doesn’t make so much sense when you recall that she specifically was talking to Jerome about they overseas accounts and how they didn’t want to cross Teddy and end up like Franklin..with Teddy dead no one knows that money is overseas she just needs to get out of the country which was way easier back then..plot hole
