I was wrong about Franklin pulling a gun on Leon. I guess that hand belonged to one of Leons goons:ohhh:. Even though Franklin did threaten he was going to take it.

I also hated how that damn Tulfowitz got to come up,meanwhile Cissy locked up. Especially considering Franklins main reason for starting this thing, was because he hated his mama working for Tulfowitz. To turn around and sell him that property:francis:?

But I guess Cissy did kill Teddy and stop that 72 million dollar transfer,so "mama who?" I guess:russ:

The finale was depressing, but very powerful. I was expecting to learn a little more about Louie's fate. Weird that the DEA are still after her but not Franklin.

I was so convinced that Franklin would end up dead or in jail. I never predicted this fate worse than death where he ends up a crazed, alcoholic homeless man. He's basically in the same position as his father in the first season of the series.

Leon even hinted at the (potential) spinoff about Wanda and LA hip-hop in the 90's.

The best part of the episode was the inside joke of Franklin and Leon finding a movie set and yelling "You won't win an Oscar for that!" - of course that references Boyz n the Hood and John Singleton was nominated for an Oscar for it. A fitting tribute. :wow:

I felt bad for Miguel :mjcry: He didn't deserve this.

Alpo - Dead, branded a snitch
Wayne Perry - Life in prison
Rayful Edmond - Life in prison
Harry O - Spent decades in prison, now released
Freeway Ricky - Life in prison, got sentenced commuted/released
Domencio - Dead
Supreme - Life in prison
Rich Porter - Dead
AZ - Made it out, appears to be okay
Nicky Barnes - Went to prison, lost it all, now dead
Frank Lucas - Went to prison, lost it all, now dead
Frank Matthews - Made it out, presumably with his money
Guy Fisher - Life in prison, released on medical pardon due to Covid in 2020
Big Meech - Sentenced to 30 years in prison, might get out in 2028
Southwest T - Sentenced to 30 years in prison, got a medical pardon due to Covid

But but its not realistic :heh:

Most of these cats either dead, in prison or came home to humble circumstances. Frank Lucas was stealing disability checks at the end.

I get it though. I think its hard to relate to that unless youve ever felt like youve lost everything. And "everything" varies from person to person. But just think about how people will lose a wife/girl and suddenly become murderous and go on shooting sprees. Or how people lose a job and become suicidal. Lose a child and turn to substance abuse. Lose all they bread and kill they mama for insurance money.

Franklin damn near lost everything literally, and suddenly:wow:. Had he killed himself I dont think people wouldve called it sudden or out of character, based on what he lost.

Yep. I been there before. Obviously I never lost $73 million but, I been in that "i don't gaf anymore" zone.

Everybody out there is a couple traumatic events away from snapping.

So at the end when Franklin was talking to Leon. Franklin was talking about the dea still following him? Or was it just jibberish

Probably a little bit of both.

His mental capacity was obviously slipping. At the same time a 20 something year old black man that hands the CIA a KGB agent out of his back pocket is not someone the feds just "forget" about

There were clues in the earlier seasons that Franklin was going to be an alcoholic. Every time he was stressed or had something on his mind he would ask for or grab a drink of water.

I remember that look on Cissy's face when he started switching from water to soda(coca cola iirc). The flashback Alton scenes, Franklin followed his father's path step by step on a bigger darker scale.

I'll have to watch the show again but, I believe it. The kinda laid the foreshadowing down with how disrespectful Franklin was towards Alton. He didn't care whatsoever about Alton's past as a Panther and the eventful life he probably lived back in the 60s and 70s because he became a bum. Well, Franklin is that bum now and the kids in the 90s don't give a fukk about what he did.
