I’m sorry but Sissy or Leon could’ve threw Franklin one last bone

Cissy was throwing Franklin a bone after the Russian Roulette scene saying why not give Teddy to the KGB and call it the day and move on. Franklin wasn't going to hear it. Then when she learned Franklin was willing to make a deal with the CIA to give up Teddy for a supposed half, knowing what Teddy did before in killing Alton AFTER such a similar deal was made of her and Alton leaving the country and be left alone. She was done with Franklin.

Leon would've tried to but he asked Franklin the question of why Cissy killed Teddy and Franklin didn't get it. Leon was honoring Cissy's wishes. But he you know years later when Franklin was at the bottom, he was willing to help him out which was his reason to visit him. And Franklin refused because he was content with his life as it is right now.

The Louie being broke on the run doesn’t make so much sense when you recall that she specifically was talking to Jerome about they overseas accounts and how they didn’t want to cross Teddy and end up like Franklin..with Teddy dead no one knows that money is overseas she just needs to get out of the country which was way easier back then..plot hole

The DEA can seize those accounts and the DEA already seized all the cash on hand when they arrested her security that were carrying those duffle bags. She's on the run with nothing on her whatsoever. Even if the DEA couldn't seize those accounts, she had no way of getting to that money. That's not a plot hole. It's called logical deduction. Nobody should spoon feed you, just watch and use common sense. Like HOW can she get to her money, if it STILL there and the DEA luckily not had taken it?

Alpo - Dead, branded a snitch
Wayne Perry - Life in prison
Rayful Edmond - Life in prison
Harry O - Spent decades in prison, now released
Freeway Ricky - Life in prison, got sentenced commuted/released
Domencio - Dead
Supreme - Life in prison
Rich Porter - Dead
AZ - Made it out, appears to be okay
Nicky Barnes - Went to prison, lost it all, now dead
Frank Lucas - Went to prison, lost it all, now dead
Frank Matthews - Made it out, presumably with his money
Guy Fisher - Life in prison, released on medical pardon due to Covid in 2020
Big Meech - Sentenced to 30 years in prison, might get out in 2028
Southwest T - Sentenced to 30 years in prison, got a medical pardon due to Covid

But but its not realistic :heh:

Most of these cats either dead, in prison or came home to humble circumstances. Frank Lucas was stealing disability checks at the end.

Don't forget West Indian Archie.

:francis: fukk the moms, baby moms and most of all Leon. He coulda helped him a lil, threw him a lil $500k-$1M. Franklin coulda got another plug and rebuilt or something. And how you be up $70M and ain’t have no assets you coulda sold to be up a couple Mil of shyt went south??? He shoulda had cars, houses, jewelry/gold/diamonds and just random shyt that’s worth money smh.

Leon ALREADY gave him 500K. And Franklin came back asking for more. Asking him for the whole 3M.

Not to mention. At the start of season 6, Franklin STILL HAD MILLIONS. He STOLE TENS OF MILLIONS along with TENS OF MILLIONS worth of dope from Jerome and Louie. Talking about he could of this or could of that. Franklin was already mismanaging his money due to his compulsive gambling obsession trying to get the 73M. It didn't matter. Frankling could have done exactly that, but he DIDN'T. You know who was thinking that way before Franklin came in to talk to him? LEON. Leon with just 3M was telling his people to find a new plug due and keep it pushing. Why in the hell, Leon gives money to Franklin knowing Franklin wouldn't do shyt useful with it?

Tell me you never were born or was just a little child during the crack epidemic. This is the most realistic result of the typical drug dealer or kingpin. Not the cliche Scarface ending that's overly celebrated. Or the fantasy of getting away with it. The majority of real-life drug dealers have this same demise. I know a lot of d-boys who was doing it big back in the day that today are either smoked out, winos, or homeless reminiscing the good old days. IT'S A SUPPOSED TO BE ANTICLIMATIC. That's LIFE.

Not to mention this was Franklin's destiny is an example of generational trauma. Most people tend to in a way turn out no different or no better than their parents. Franklin was destined to become Alton and it was hinted through both Cissy and Jerome that Alton in how he became a homeless wino was sharing the same type of decline which prompted Cissy to leave him the same way as Vernique.

Speaking of Vernique, she's the one that SET UP THOSE ACCOUNTS. The legal business was pretty much what SHE BUILT. So, she has access to it all. They had joint accounts which you can blame Franklin in allowing her that. There's a scene either earlier this season or last season where Franklin GAVE HER complete access. And she's a professional bank scammer. That's her nature to be no different from her mother (again the generational trait).

Cissy's actions maybe controversial but made sense too if you paid attention to her own decline. Cissy went from willing to do anything for her son to being dead to her son. Episode 9 was her final hail mary to save Franklin's soul, but he was too far gone at that point. The irony is that Franklin said what he was going to do back in the season 5 finale of torturing Teddy, and it was Vernique that was pleading not to go there, but Cissy stood quietly. Only for those roles reverse with Vernique just as desperate for that money and Cissy after giving up after the loss of Jerome was done with it all. The ONLY thing that mattered to her was getting rid of Teddy because regardless of if Franklin got his money or not, Teddy was the demon that poisoned her family. She just hated what Franklin has become which is no different from Teddy. So, her actions were out of spite of her own son who chose the money over his own mother.

None of it was lazy writing. You can criticize and nitpick on things that was either rushed like the conclusion of Louie and Oso, or wasted characters like Parissa, but this episode itself was purposely bookend to everything from season 1 and if you were really paying attention, they used Franklin as an allegory of a drug addict. Just like a D-boy would give a person a free hit as a sample, the bartender gave Franklin his first shot for free. His meeting with Leon that next day, he was already behaving crack-ish trying to do unrealistic negotiations for the money. Then Franklin was pretty much giving away his properties similar to how a crackhead would sell away everything they got. Even learning that Peaches only have 12K in the same is a call back to season 1 episode 1 of how much Franklin sold his first brick ever to Claudia. Which ALSO echoed to the fact that Jerome WARNED HIM that brick no matter how much Franklin makes from it is worth the trouble. All of that foreshadowing tie-in to that conclusion. Even Franklin when he does transform into what his father was, he repeated the same lines to Leon that he told to Melody in that very first episode of being "free from all of it". So DON'T tell me because you either never paid attention to detail or it's wished for it to happened, doesn't mean it's lazy writing.

People not having their favorite character win = Poorly written show

I can't recall a crime drama in recent memory where the main character becomes strung out like that. It's realistic as we all know people who were once great and fell on hard times. This show will age extremely well.

Franklin was acting like my cousin who became a drunk and a paranoid nervous wreck after going through alot of shyt.

My cuz one day hit me up saying he need a $100 to pay off a judge for his gun charge lol

i told him I’ll give him a money order :unimpressed:

he was so mad when I told him that. he felt defeated :mjcry:

my cuz don’t smoke or nothing. He just fell victim to what 98% of my immediate family fell into. alcohol. And it only got worst when he was in the car where my auntie got murdered
im crying over here bro 🤣 🤣 🤣
