Good movie. The whole Shang Chi’s homie and arrow scene was straight Disney but besides that I thought it was enjoyable. My girl like it as well. Beautiful cinematography. That one ninja that kept the mask on got dealt with dirty. I wish they woulda kept that character around. 8/10

So how strong is Shang compared to the current marvel universe characters?

The Russos don't shot the action scenes
They don’t shoot it but if you think they have no input on how the scene is going to go you’re bugging. There’s a reason all of their marvel movies have far better action scenes beginning with Cap 2. Otherwise why wouldn’t every marvel movie basically have the same quality of action? The director has a lot of input and control even if they’re not directly shooting the scene

I was lazy with even watching trailers, kinda went in cold. Was gonna watch on the strength of Marvel and it being something different.

Show Venom 2, Eternals, but not gon show the Spider-Man trailer, breh? :martin:

As an origin tale it was dope. Action scenes/fights were cold as hell. I dug the cameos, although the whole Manderin in the car bit slowed down the flow and was the whole “run real quick to the bathroom so you don’t miss no good shyt” part of the film.

Final act is standard big, epic battle fair. I’m always two heads about those: I respect them and they feel like a huge deal, but at the same time I see how all these moving part and CGI fukkery overload can become a bit much for some viewers.

Watched this in Dolby which was cool, but in retrospect I know I should’ve did IMAX instead :snoop:

But I might actually see this in theatres. I've heard nothing but good things.
