what performance??
he sat on his ass thru almost the whole match. i kept forgetting he was even there.
show was too good up until that point. so i expected the WWE to pull some bullchit at the end.
yea.
i was hard as hell, ready to rock some bells thru that whole rumble.
That's how you should be booking a guy at his age with his injury history and with his particular character. Edge managed to go coast to coast without taking people's heat or making them look bad. He identified his biggest threat (and rival) Randy and went for him until he thought he'd taken him out, throughout the match he picked his spots, occasionally took his lumps but always made sure that he wasn't in any danger of actually getting eliminated (unlike someone like Riddle who jumped over the top rope for no reason) he fell back, guys had their moments, did their thing, took each other out and he made sure he was there for the money portion of the match. Kayfabe wise he wrestled the perfect Rumble for his character at this point in time.
It wouldn't make sense for Edge to be out there doing shyt all over the ring and trading moves and shyt with every single person out there. Beyond his health which is openly acknowledged in kayfabe, he doesn't have to impose himself anymore. The game isn't about showing what he can do anymore, everyone watching already knows what Edge can do, it's about getting to the bag. Edge was old man Jordan on the Wizards getting his 5 points per quarter and letting everyone else do the running. It made sense.
