one time I had a job at racist ass BELK, everything about that shyt was a horror story. Working with an all white staff and having 80 yr old white people breathing down ya neck< I had friends come in cause I would try to give them hookups and these crackas would try to walk behind me 24/7 acting like they were busy doing shyt by me just to see if I was hookin my people up. Also I had to wear button ups and cardigans like errryday, never again smh.

I get it...I get it...

But if you're in a line of work that requires intensive, hands on, face-to-face contact with the public (retail, human services/social work, customer service rep., call center rep, entry level non-profit, teachers, admin assistant/front desk clerk at a public agency, nursing assistant, etc) you gotta expect this stuff to some degree.

Maybe you're in the wrong line of work.

So I used to work at Walmart part-time a min ago while I was in school. I had basically left my whole environment and went to the suburbs to get out of the way. Anyways, Im at work about to take my break and whaever when I hear my old nickname called.

So breh dips and I go outside to take my break. I come back from my break and one of the support managers comes up to me and hits me with the.


" Whats up with your people?"


Me: .......... What chu mean my people?


" Whats up with your peoples? They stole from the store? Thats not good."

So I go about my business and word starts getting around that the electronics department got raped. I heard it from like 3 different workers. Then a supervisor thats cool with me told me that all of the apple products got stolen. So now Im kinda like ....

I get pulled aside by an assistant manager about an hour later and he tells me around $7,000 of merchandise was stolen from the electronics department. I knew then what time it was. ....So my shift ends and Im bout to leave when the Co-manager of the whole store pulls me to his office and we review the highlight tape. This nikka cleaned walmart out. Hit them for every Ipod, Iphone, and Ipad. Then this trife ass nikka gonna flag me down and shake my hand on the way out.shyt literally looked like I was in on it.

Co-Manager: "because it was grand larceny the police are going to have to get involved. I recommend that you give a statement to them and identify the thief and his associates."


So Im thinking of the most nikkarific excuse on why i shook this fools hand.


Me: " Ummm I dont really know him like that. I used to play basketball with his cousin a few years ago and he played with us a from time to time .




Co-manager: "Well you dont have to give a statement but I would recommend it. Could you stick around for the police to come.?"



Me: NOPE!!!!!

Safe to say work was an awkward place for me after that. I know people had their eyes on me. The old Filipino workers were giving me the and the . While these 2 cashiers (one was kinda bad) was giving me the look.













Nothing ever happened with that shyt but I did go back to the hood looking for this nikka that pulled that foul shyt. I could never catch up with him. Then about a year or so after that incident I seent this nikka on the news. nikka went down for being involved with two different homicides. One being his own cousin..



Dude was slimy.

yo the same scenario happened to me in staples..except the cat had another dude with him and i didnt know any of them nikkas...i approached one of them dudes who was circling in the printers area...asked if he needed help cuz that was my job..meanwhile his man was stealing digital cameras and shyt..he said he was cool, shook my hand which i thought was odd, and left. however there was a dude in there who was a keyholder...not even an actual manager..homo ass white boy with a tongue ring..he was a straight bytch and acted like he was boss...well they all reviewed the tape and dude remarked to the other managers he thought i was in it...my boy who was in the lockup getting some electronics shyt out heard him and told me later after work..so im pissed at this point and was to going confront him over it.. but my boy was like cool out..the next day them dudes came back to the store..same shyt but my manager already called the cops as soon as they walked in...they walked out and cops hemmed them up with the quickness...now i thought everything was cool after that but once i left to go back to college a week later that was it with me and staples...even though i didnt know it...i went back in the summer to get back on the schedule, there was a new manager running the store...had me interview and everything like ppl in the store didnt know who i was..i later found ol boy was talking that shyt talmbout i couldnt be trusted and that was enough for the manager to be like we're not hiring anyone right now..pure bullshyt

today this girl came to my line and everything went fine at first she was by herself and only got a couple things....not one of the annoying short fat white women who are self entitled(your fat what do you have to be entitled for) who talk on the phone and throw up their 232 items as if its nothing and have them order....

was a young Black girl probably around my age in her early or mid 20s...

so we done with the transaction and I count her change for her as ive been doing with my past customers recently...

one of the dollar bills was kind of messed up with a tiny part cut off or something......

nothing TOO DRAMATIC but she probably would say otherwise....

this broad asks "Innocently" ...."Oh can I get another dollar bill"(her change was 4 dollars or something ) to replace this one...this one is kind of messed up...

not throwing a tantrum or anything....but it was still annoying...

you gonna tell the people behind you how much of a diva you are by asking to open up a draw to give a dollar that looks "nicer" because your being a child?






















in reference to race.....in that thread where you got that idea to make this thread from.....I still stand by that white women and white people in general give the ABSOLUTE worst customer service.....


the thing about Black people like the one I just described though is that their annoyance is a lot more "COVERT" or subliminal....especially with the women....had a Black woman today have 3 items and ask me to do a price check for each at the beginning....

I said this item is____, this item is _____each time and she said slowly "Okay...." each time and then when I finished the price check of the 3rd item she said "OKAY im not gonna take any of them " with a laugh as if it was a joke so why string along if they were both okay?

the bad customer service with them is a lot more under the radar but gets under your skin more even though the white folks are worst.

In the first lady's defense, she could have OCD, some people have weird idiosyncrasies to them. The second lady could just be a laughter. There is a lady that works at the pharmacy that literally laughs after every sentence. Not a "Im in a comedy show" laugh...just a chuckle kinda laugh. She a good person but that shiit is annoying as hell especially when you're not in a good mood.

all of these stories are why i could never work those sucker ass jobs, they're good for meeting relatively cool co workers but thats about it.
Now in my contracting days..

We did drywall/painting/carpentry and sometimes a bit of roofing. People would make the STUPIDEST requests ever, asking you to bend the laws of physics n shyt. It paid well and it teaches valuable skills so I fukk with it from time to time.
