This was a little something I was experimenting with, was trynna see if I could mix boom bap with a little trap influence in there. Not sure if im happy with the way it came out, kicks sound kinda ass and the sample could have been more melodic but I feel i got the most out of it as I could

i feel like it needs to have either the tempo increased by a few bpm, or let the hihat go a little faster. bricks posted a good example above. i would add some reverb, compression, and panning to the sample or something. it sounds too flat. it just doesnt sound alive like the bones track for instance. and that's due to the verb and the automated panning.

1. faster hats or tempo... the hats just stand out to me as going too slow
2. bring that sample to life
3. profit

The hats ... definitely. I made it 140bpm cos I wanted it to have a spaced out sound to it but I realise it sounded abit too empty
I had put reverb on the sample, its what made it sound so clear, I feel like the sample kinda limited me like that

props for the feedback man, gives me a piece of mind to see someone confirm what im thinking

Good shout, putting a kick in place with the 808 was another idea I had but didnt follow through with. And yeah, those drums would go off in this sample. appreciate the help bruh
