It's Stuff In Ableton That Makes Your Beats Sound That Gritty Or Is That Just Your Selection Of Drums & EQing?
if you get specific(time in track) i'll tell you exactly what i did. essentially, i'm making the mix low-fidelity. purposefully distorting/bitcrushing and then filtering(lowpass) out the artifacts so it's not TOO crazy sounding, and it gives it a rough raw feel. depending on where i got the samples some need it more than others, but most elements get a little treatment.

if you need somewhere to really hear it, try bitcrushing something like a wind chime, something that's high pitched with a lot of like, jingling going on, and then put a low pass roll off at like 12k and you'll hear what i mean. it gives it almost a video game sounding 8 bit sound
