It's too early to judge her character, the show just started. She clearly as an arc, but I agree, White people tend to fail at writing Black characters. This is because they don't try, they don't get invested in characters that don't look like them.

I’m annoyed by her character being obsessed with pleasing Anakin that’s about it which is kind of giving her props for her acting skills

Star Wars heads, what is the point of the empire? like they never really seem to do anything other than hunt Jedi and act like an a$$hole towards everyone, every planet in the story is a shythole, the emperor spends his days in and empty room wearing the same robe, like what exactly are their goals? what do they want to do with their power?

That cartoonish idea of evil is why I have never been able to fully click with this series, its like a young teen wrote what he thought was the ultimate evil and no one since has even bothered to give it some depth or purpose.

The Empire is run by Palpatine, a Sith Lord.

They also thrive on pain, suffering, inflicting pain and suffering on others, rage, etc.

The Empire controls everything. Taxation of planets and colonies on The Outer Rim is one topic hinted at in Obi-Wan.

Imagine living on Tatooine farming MOISTURE for a living and the Empire wants MORE taxes from you while you get nothing in return?

Also, the Empire is known to look down on non-humanoid creatures and beings...

I liked her character. it seems to me that she had the most screen time in the first 2 episodes over everyone besides kenobi. I hope this continues.

Understandable

They've only lightly touched on this but, there's the underlying idea in the galaxy that "The Jedi will come to your planet and tell you your child is special and then take them away and you'll never see them again"

Reva was probably taken from her parents as a child in order to become a youngling, not even fully a padawan yet, only to be thrust right into Order 66 and be left with no family, no guidance, nothing.

If it's been 10 years since the Battle on Mustafar, so we know Reva has probably spent 10 years of being one of Vaders apprentices, being subjected to all manner of cruelty in order to become stronger and more powerful.

And with Anakins rage, he's probably blamed Obi-Won for everything he has lost

Man that Vader show that they eventually make is going to be amazing

I finally got around to watching the first 2 episodes. This show is off to a good start. It's a little bit slow and some of the acting is a bit stale lol

But overall, it's good so far. But some respect on Ewan McGregor's name
