The way people are copping pleas for this show is disgusting
I mean if this amount of bad shyt tier writing was in Mando or TBOBF people would be savaging Favreau and saying he should never touch star wars again
I feel bad for the lady who plays reva they are giving her no room to work with on this bad script and plot
Ewan as Obi Wan and Nostalgia really must have people snowed
KK is going to ruin a lot of stuff with this series
Grand Inquisitor just instantly getting shyt on by Reva(I doubt he's dead but still that's absolutely top tier jobbing) Not sure how people are okay with so many of these bad elements and its only been 2 episodes

That was my main question mark. The current number 3 baddest man on the planet gets jobbed in episode 2 by his c list employee.
Even if he's alive, reva would be treating him like
because she pulled his hoe card, whereas he's supposed to have his team shook, like how vader has him shook, and sidious has vader shook. Now the writers have blocked themselves in, because he was alive in rebels and there's no way a sith type boss would let that slide, reva would have to die.Man I see everyone hating on Reva but I enjoy her character. I think it’s funny how even the other inquisitors get annoyed with her being all extra. She’s like that new employee who thinks she can go extra hard and get promoted in a week while all the vets are rolling their eyes. Also, not every bad guy has to be some scary super intimidating Darth Maul type. She’s a super arrogant super capable force user who’s motivations we don’t really know yet.
Idk man I liked the first two episodes. Some of you guys are shytting on it like you expected Better Call Saul levels of writing in this. This franchise is LOADED with dumb stuff you kind of have to try to headcanon stuff for. Luke keeping his dads last name when he’s supposed to be in hiding is an example and that goes all the way back to the first movie. Why y’all keep watching and getting mad everytime the writing doesn’t suddenly elevate is beyond me.

Just watched yesterday. This shyt is so trash I'm not sure I'm going to watch any more episodes. Painfully bad on every single level.

Reva seems to remind me of Anakin. That may be the angle she'sthey're going for. She's not menacing, but neither was he. She's a compulsive overachiever, highly emotional, damn near throwing tantrums, not falling in line, fukking up the mission. clearly out to make a name for herself amongst the ranks. She's the only one chasing after Obi-Wan, no one else seems to care about him one way or the other...and you would think she's out to prove something specifically to Vader, perhaps trying to become his apprentice. "Look, I did what they couldn't"...brought you Kenobi
Right. There's 40 years of behind the scenes ish with the entire cast and crew laughing at the dialog, the plot, the directing, and having no clue what's supposed to be conveyed onscreen. Carrie Fisher uses like 3 different accents in ANH alone. Harrison Ford was admittedly phoning it in, Alec Guiness was like "whatever" Star Wars ain't that type of Oscar-level performances...even from Oscar nom/winners. The mythology is what drives it....the plot always needs to be reeled in.

That's an interesting parallel seeing that Vader wanted had a single minded obsession with hunting down the Jedi especially Kenobi while Sidious was more focused on establishing the Empire and becoming more powerful in the dark side.
I also like the Reva character but if Grand Inquisie isn't dead then that means she will likely end up killed by the end of this season. Unless she gains favor with Vader who approves of her for her methods for smoking Ben out and maybe promotes her to his apprentice thus making her a made women.
I'm also in agreement that this shyt is boring. I know they have to set up all this backstory for the fans and pacing, but most of us want to see more action and villian badassness that we ain't really seeing yet.

Star Wars heads, what is the point of the empire? like they never really seem to do anything other than hunt Jedi and act like an a$$hole towards everyone, every planet in the story is a shythole, the emperor spends his days in and empty room wearing the same robe, like what exactly are their goals? what do they want to do with their power?
That cartoonish idea of evil is why I have never been able to fully click with this series, its like a young teen wrote what he thought was the ultimate evil and no one since has even bothered to give it some depth or purpose.
