This was terrible.Even with the layers to it, I'm unmoved. This is Peeles worst movie. US is his best.

Daniel Kaluya isn't a good actor. All he can do is stare.

I know all the fake azz film buffs with their monocles on will be in here dikkeating.
Daniel Kaluya is the black version of Ryan Goshling :mjlol:

Acting performances were….odd. Keke Palmer was basically’Riley Freeman’ the entire movie…she had charisma, but was also annoying at times. Kaluuya was unusually flat. The story felt incomplete to me…almost as though huge pieces of the story were left on the cutting room floor that would’ve connected central threads in the story and made them make sense. I like Jordan Peele, but this wasn’t a great film at all. There was no sensible conclusion to anything I saw, and not enough background given to understand the motivation behind some stuff that happened. Well shot…but disappointing story to me.
Kaluuyas flat performance was the best part

You know a movie is mid when it's fans start talking about:

1. How well the shots are made and the imagery

and....

2. How everyone else is too stupid to pick up the nuance of the plot/theme.

:martin:
1. Shots are an integral part of the movie
2. Ppl were literally saying they didn't understand basic shyt

It's OK not to like it tho

Movie starts out way too slow. It takes close to an hour to really hit its groove, and from there it gets better. And with that, they could’ve shaved 25+ minutes off it and made it a tighter story. It’s too long.

Keke Palmer’s character and the guy from the department store are the highlights.

The barn scene really spooked me :damn:
