untitled was full of nas' bizarre political rants....i cant get into that, and i think overall combined with the album title gimmick...turned people off.

this new album seems to have more of an upbeat feel to it. a lot less dark

True. I still liked it though, Untitled, but I agree with you saying. Liking this one better.

Man I had a range of emotions while listening to this album 1st time through.

Early Tracks...
Damn, this nikka Nas really is the greatest.



Middle Tracks...
Damn this nikka Nas stay making average ass, bland ass music.



Later Tracks...
shyt is cool, but forgettable overall, just Nas being Nas I guess.


I'mma listen to it a bit more though to see if more of the tracks grow on me.

Exceeded my expectations on first listen. Some beats didn't do it for me and a couple tracks are forgettable but for the most I enjoyed the first half alot more than the second half. Second listen on shuffle will be

I feel like if I was a Nas stan, I'd probably force myself to like his neutral tracks alot more. But since I'm pretty much a middle ground fan of dude, I love and appreciate his great tracks but don't have alot of need or patience for his average tracks. None of it is wack though

nikka the later portion prolly the best songs on album...Stay, Cherry Wine, Bye Baby.
