KD3 is still 5 mics to me. That joint is flawless. I love the Magic's but KD3 is the best complete project Nas made since a long time
Marley mentioned that if an album is to come, expect it sometime in late 2024 or early 2025. That means not expecting an album anytime soon or a collaborative project like a follow-up to 2010’s Distant Relatives with Grammy-winning emcee Nas. When asked about the possibility of reuniting with the King’s Disease rapper, his only reply was, “your guess is as good as mine.”
“Whenever I speak to Nas, we always say that we want to do it,” explained Marley. “So with the ambition of both of us wanting it to happen would lead toward the possibility of it happening. But we don’t have anything scheduled.”
"Patience" is Nas's most recognizable song in history around the world and it's not close, he needs to do a whole nother album with bro and throw a "Patience 2" on there and all that, tour the world, fukk a first week.Came across this quote from a Damian Marley interview earlier this year
I hope we at least get another song from them at some point
I was thinking about this just now, but does anyone know how long the Hit-Boy albums took to make individually? I know they didn't spend a lot of time on any of them except for KD3 because they announced it a year in advance, and Nas was touring and working on other projects for most of 2022. This is my timeline for everything, but you guys can correct me if you want:
KD1: Album started production in late 2019, I'm assuming. Nas wanted a beat from Hit-Boy and they started working on more songs, which became an EP for Valentine’s Day, then turned into an album. COVID stopped everything and Nas most likely would have scrapped the album if Hit-Boy didn't encourage him to continue. My guess is they were done with it in June or July 2020.
KD2: They put a remix to "EPMD" on the album and that song came out at the start of 2021, but "Death Row East" was the first song recorded for KD2 and that had to be in late 2020. Most likely, they spent as much time on this album as they did with KD1.
Magic 1: Album started production right after KD2 came out. Probably took 4-6 weeks to finish it, if that. They were in the zone creatively during this time, so what are the chances it even took a month?
KD3: Album took all of 2022 to finish for sure. Nas had a busier schedule, Hit-Boy had a busier schedule, and it was probably harder for them to get studio time together. Somebody here said Hit-Boy followed Nas on tour so they could get the album done.
Magic 2: Doubt it took that long, similar to the first one. Dave Kim had to mix and master the album quickly so it could come out when it did. I would say they did this in 4-6 weeks.
Magic 3: Dave Kim already said this album took six weeks to make and it was done right after Magic 2 came out. They were definitely in a zone at this point and they wanted to finish quickly.

Magic 2 was started right when One Mic One Gun came out. So roughly from November 2022 to June 2023

Also imma say it like this. I know alot of u nikkas got recency bias or whatever. Or prolly either not from NY or not old enough to remember clearly. Imma say it straight like this. Any nikka saying this Drake vs Kendrick shyt is ANYTHING like Nas vs Jay has lost their mind. Lol.
