Jordan is being respectful as he should.

But some of us bulls fans lived through the pippen drama. We remember the word on pippen being hit him hard and he disappeared for the rest of the game. We remember the migrane game. Aside from not coming in the game because kukoc was getting the last shot (mind you kukoc had 6 clutch shots under his belt to this point) we remember pippen getting tossed from games and nearly getting tossed several more times we remember him throwing a chair and we remember him pretty much being a non factor during the 98 playoffs.

It's only bad because people speak of pippen as help to jordan in the same sense of lebron having wade and bosh kyrie and love and now Davis. Pippen was a star but he was not that kind of star.

Tossing chairs and TVs...on national televised games at that. As a knicks fans, the PO'd Pippen always had me CTHU

:mjlol:

Jordan averaged 30.6 ppg on 50% shooting for his career against Mad Max.

From 90-93 when vernon was on HOU, MJ averaged 29.2 ppg on 48% shooting.

From 95-98, when vernon was on PHI/SA/CHA, MJ averaged 31.6 ppg on 52% shooting.

Max was a hot head and that's about it. He wasnt a defensive juggernaut and definitely wasnt known for his defense like Beverly.
Man you misinterpret what I meant with mad max. Mad max wasn’t intimidated by mj. He loved playing against Jordan. Nobody could contain prime Jordan so why would you even bring that up? Beverley doesn’t contain Westbrook. It’s like what GP said last night, let the dogs lose and pull out your best card. Players and coaches were intimidated by MJ when they played against him. Talking that aww you shouldn’t have done that, you goin wake him now. You see what Kordan did to Clyde Drexler. He bullied that man in his matchups. He bullied Clyde during the Dream Team and Clyde just took it. He couldn’t do that leaders of Houston. That doesn’t mean he couldn’t beat them but he couldn’t beat them mentally like he did other teams. He couldn’t beat Zeke and Larry Legend mentally either.

and the rockets had a losing record in the playoffs vs the teams the bulls beat in the finals

They were 0-6 in opportunities, but they can forever hang their hats on beating the bulls in the regular season. Now only if they could of beat the teams that the bulls beat for championships in the playoffs

these blip ass nikkas was missing the playoffs with a prime Hakeem & getting swept by teams the bulls beat in the finals :deadmanny: going 7 with the same Knicks that went 7 vs the bulls without Jordan. Houston wasn’t doing shyt
Houston this Houston that, where were them nikkas when it was finals time:yeshrug:

I’m just asking, where is the evidence that Houston was this mythical MJ legacy stopper. Houston ain’t show up until mike was chilling. And when MJ came back Houston no where to be found:yeshrug:

Why does him not being intimated even matter when he had no effect on Jordan's output? You can not be intimated by getting hit by a car, doesn't mean the car won't run over you.

:dead: @ he couldnt mentally beat zeke. Mike mentally had him beat before they even met. Mike kept zeke up until the early morn, not vice versa.

Houston is up there with len bias, reggie lewis and sabonis as the mythical entities that would've stopped Jordan in the 90s if they had the chance.

Ignore the other million permutations of possible losses jordan withstood. Those guys and that team wouldve been the ones to stop him in the 90s.

That's the beauty of it, it's making him human.

As someone born in 1982 this guy was like a superhero to me as a kid. I can appreciate the perspective now that I'm an adult. Winning has a price :wow:

He was a legit super hero. As a kid it felt like MJ could never lose.

MJ quitting to play baseball?
"He about to win the World Series :krs:"

MJ coming back?
"More NBA championships! :blessed:"

MJ retired and comes back again

"Washington about to a chip :lawd:"

It's crazy but I thought he could play forever and never fall off.

The highlights in the documentary got me thinking Horace Grant was more explosive than I could remember as a kid.

The goggles were an underrated accessory lol surprised no one in this generation has tried to bring it back.

Great documentary so far but I have one big problem I can't get over. They really tried to insinuate Jordan lost 2 games to the Sonics on purpose so he could win on father's day :francis: so we're just going to ignore the fact that he never had a vintage game the moment Payton was guarding him. I finally watched the games a few weeks ago and it was clear as day Jordan was trying his hardest but just couldn't shake the glove off.

I guess history is written by the victors :francis:

Basketball at that level (NBA Finals) is all mental, and Jordan did say in the doc that he had a lot of other things on his mind other than GP.

I think he was implying that his mind was on his murdered father (and 96 being the first finals where his dad wasn't there to witness it) and that affected his play moreso than GP.

jordan struggled with trusting his teammates on the court. period.

lebron came in with trusting his teammates on the court.

but

jordan was willing to bear the brunt of responsibility when his team failed

lebron never wanted to bear the responsibility and wanted it always to be someone elses fault.

jordan was willing to go to the line final seconds in the game, take the last shot had to be talked out of not taking the last shot, but wore that on himself whatever the outcome

lebron trust his teammates but sometimes used "willing passer" as a scapegoat to avoid the responsibility of team success. lebron is NOT willing to always go to the line final seconds, lebron is NOT willing to always take the last shot. lebron WILL pass up a shot and let someone else have to wear not coming through in the final seconds. let the coach take the fall for team failures. let the roster suffer and push trades and signings to let the roster know you guys are not good enough to play with me.

that part is the biggest reason i give the crown to jordan.

:wow:
