Michael is great as were the bulls but you can see in that last 3 peat the mental edge he had over the league. Those bulls team were probably the last “OLD” team to win. The closet would be the Celtics but they were all still close to 30 and had youth in Rondo, Perkins, Poe and maybe Big Baby but can’t remember him getting minutes like that on the postseason, whereas the bulls core were closer to 35. Dennis Rodman dominating the boards like he did I his late 30’s especially on the same court as a Shaq is just something I can’t even find words for. Really would’ve liked to seen Jordan bulls versus Duncan and pops.
i think the last old team to win was the 2011 mavericks. the entire starting lineup was over 32 except for tyson chandler

"The tough practices we had to go through, the harsh comments, the verbal attacks everyday, I didn't think it was bad at all. I do feel bad for Mike because people are going to think he's a bully because that's the way society is. It was just tough coaching. There wasn't anybody back in the day who didn't coach like that. It was a great experience that made me a better person."

:patrice:This doc makes MJ look a little crazy, almost like a sociopath

I think that's why he got a little emotional going down memory lane about how he treated other people during his career...
That's the beauty of it, it's making him human.

As someone born in 1982 this guy was like a superhero to me as a kid. I can appreciate the perspective now that I'm an adult. Winning has a price :wow:

now you & I know MJ woulda never allowed that fukk shyt
Scottie wouldn’t have pulled that foolishness if MJ was still on that team lol a asswhooing would have been waiting for him in the locker room.

I also think Scottie being the best player on that team got to his head. It was a ego thing.

Anyone who saw the leak version, Im not tripping in saying they cut out a whole bit about the Bulls winning 70 and using Blahzay Blahzay's East in the house in episode 8 of the version on ESPN/Netflix?

Edit: They replaced it with Step into a World

It's crazy

When I watched these episodes I grew an appreciation for the kind of competitor Jordan was.

I didn't know people was going to go Steve urkel and say "he's a meanie" lol

I grew up with a coach that watched a player go up for a lay up, he got put on his ass , fell flat on his back didn't get immediately up and the coach screams out loud enough for the entire gym to hear him:

"Ain't nothing wrong with him his ass just mad he missed the lay up"

What court did these guys go to where the trash talk wasn't this harsh? We talked crazy all game.

I don't know new generation i guess smh

Are these ever gonna go on American netflix? I work every sunday so I miss the live airings so I gotta watch the reruns and they censor the cursing. Would love to see it uncensored.

That's my main take away from this so far....He told us he was worried about how it would make him look and he legit meant that. I believe as Jordan has gotten older, he's paid attention to the growing reputation of him being an a$$hole, the GOAT, but still an a$$hole and its effected him a little bit over the years. I remember in a 90 or 91 interview video he mentioned how he idolized Dr. J on how he would spit knowledge and advice and be an overall helpful figure to the younger ballers and I believe Jordan wanted to be that same person, the one people respect and ask for wisdom.

Kobe did just that as we know, but I'm sure shyt like the Kwame Brown and Wizards fiasco didn't help his image of being a god, but an unapproachable god. And then he prolly heard all those whispers of oh look at the a$$hole again during his HOF speech and stuff like that. It gotta sting a little bit knowing you had the best intentions for people and while thankful of that it at the same time you potentially made them distant from you. How many bulls players would legitimately want to kick it for old times sake with Jordan? Probably not as many as we'd think....and I'm sure shyt like that stays on a aging Jordan's mind.
