I only watched part of the first episode and it really is good. I have but one question.
Is everyone wondering when Jordan's eyes turned straight up gold colored? Dude looks scary.

I didn’t even know Obama was in Chicago at that point.

I thought he was in college still in the early to mid 80’s. :patrice:

85-88 is when he 1st went to Chicago and was still just a community organizer.

That was before he went to Harvard for a few years and then back to Chicago to teach law in early 90s. So yeah, he was def there to see the rise of MJ.

Jordan stans why did his family leave Brooklyn?

I’m assuming they came up in the migration and didn’t like the city life.
I don’t thing they ever lived there full time.

his father was working up there but I think a return to NC was always the plan.

That doesn't make sense tho.

Exactly what he said he didn't want to do he did with Obama.

What makes him a better interview than any other Chicago resident at the time?

shyt was pointless
Well no. He wasn’t saying that your wouldn’t use cultural figures like Obama or Clinton. More so that if you did there needed to be a direct line between them and the subject.

Only thing there is that they were competing and gambling, just another opportunity to beat the other guy.

that thought also occurred to me, but either way it's still a fake ass claim from the older generation. they were all hanging out and working out together.

i get why the older generation don't get the young cats though, they didn't grow up in the AAU system. a lot of these dudes have been good friends for years before the hit the league, especially with the advances in technology.

it's just how it is these days. :yeshrug:

Nah bro. They went to play golf regardless if there was competition and gambling (that’s what men do). Mike and Danny was cool period and went to play golf in the middle of a playoff series and Mike was down in the series.

The old heads said their was no buddy buddy shyt in their era.

I don’t disagree. Much more money now and like you said the younger generation plays so much AAU ball they are bound to form ties.
