The thing is, pippen was advised against signing it. The owner told him don't sign it. Just like he told Jordan don't sign his deal. Pippen was thinking about his back and long term security

Regardless the Jerry's should have done the right thing at least for the last season. If not for scottie sake just to show potential future free agents they take care of they people. At the moment they riding high on titles so they get ahead of themselves but as we can see 2 decades later they are still repairing the horrible examples they displayed during the dynasty years.

LMAO you actually believe that shyt? You realize the owner is the one that pays the players right. Another money pinching jew. You can tell by that shyt jacket he was wearing, couldn't be bothered to get it tailored.

They took advantage of a country breh. It is that simple. I mean one million dollars at that time would be big bucks for young breh like himself. Who the fukk was his agent? I could see why Scottie was mad, Jerry was mind fukking him. Basically telling other people he was going to trade him but was never being straight with him face to face.
Scottie was someone who was never good with money though, he had to declare bankruptcy many times.

Uh I don't know if you saw the episode but pippen and reinsdorf confirmed this was exactly how it happened. And pippen considering his back and the mouths he had to feed including his his brother and father in wheelchairs pippen chose the security.

But the Jerry's should have still done the right thing especially after the pippen bad contract became national news. Just clean it up for the sake of the long term perception of the team.

But again to be fair the bulls have made the situation right with pippen. They did a s&t to get pippen to Houston who probably couldn't sign him otherwise without the bulls agreeing to the s&t sending pippen to a team he wanted to go to and pretty much got nothing but a 2nd rd pick and roy rogers back in the deal

Then they paid pippen 4-5 million for 2 seasons in 04 and 05 to pretty much sit on the bench and do nothing. Not to mention pippen up until this season has been given some role with the franchise again getting paid to pretty much do nothing but show up to games. So wasn't the best relationship but they have done a lot of good for pippen too

:dahell: Bobby Knight completely botched Bird’s recruitment. So bad that he went to ISU instead.

how did so many people let this comment fly? :dwillhuh:
Larry Bird - Wikipedia
Bird received a scholarship to play college basketball for the Indiana University Hoosiers in 1974.[12] After less than a month on campus he dropped out of school, finding the adjustment between his small hometown and the large student population of Bloomington to be overwhelming.[6] He returned to French Lick, enrolling at Northwood Institute (now Northwood University) in nearby West Baden, and working municipal jobs for a year before enrolling at Indiana State University in Terre Haute in 1975.[13][14][15] He had a successful three-year career with the Sycamores, helping them reach the NCAA tournament for the first time in school history with a 33-0 record where they played the 1979 championship game against Michigan State.[16][17]

:ld: Bobby fukked up retention not recruitment.

Jordan could’ve added Tim Duncan’s, Davd Robinson’s, Shaq and Kobe’s heads on his plate of championships then Jerry Krause happened.

I'm almost embarrassed, I see these graphics for the Last Dance, these promos. And they have Michael, they have Scottie, Dennis, Phil...and me. You know the ones I'm talking about. And I understand it, the reason I'm on there is because I'm the one who's famous because I'm a coach of the Warriors, so people recognize me and maybe people wouldn't recognize Toni Kukoc or Luc Longley or Ron Harper...maybe their faces wouldn't mean as much to a young generation cuz this was 22 years ago, but that should really be Toni, I think on that photo, on that promo because he was incredible player."
