Metal Gear Rising: Angry Review - YouTube
Pretty accurate review I might say Oh and at around 11:10 he starts talking about the breaking the parry systems.
Review is cool, but I have to disagree with him knocking it for the blocking layout. The shyt he was "exploiting" only gets you so far on the harder difficulties. And honestly, on Very Hard and I'm sure on Revengeance if you keep trying to spam block like that you'll be in a stun block animation the entire time.
You get rewarded for perfectly timing the block so you can get into a parry which opens opponents up for you. And I'm not sure how what he was doing is any different than a game having a block button mapped on the controller. He's essentially just holding down block the entire time.
How long did it take u guys to finish this game? i want to buy this but i really dont want to spend money on a 5 hour game brehs...it looks so good tho
My first playthrough took me like 15 hours. Not because the game is that long, but because I didn't rush through it. I was looking for Easter Eggs and getting some trophies on my first playthrough which resulted in me having to restart some missions... I also didn't use any health items or fuel cells the entire time my first playthrough which added more difficulty to the game. Beating some of the bosses without the crutch of replenishing your health proved to be harder than I thought. Especially the final boss.
Now, I'm at over 30 hours total in the game with my Very Hard run included, and the time I've spent in the VR Missions which hasn't been that much.
If you're the type to play through a game once and that's it, then you probably should rent it. If you're the type that embraces difficulty bumps and want to "master" how the game is supposed to be played, then you'll get your money's worth out of it.
