Antman, Eternals, Shang Chi, Capt. Marvel etc aren't/werent well known in real life. Still got their own flicks with no crossed streams. If people go see these movies just because....Marvel, then why does Black Panther have to be cross pollinated?

You can't have it both ways. You can't give others their own but then make black people share their spotlight.

You're right but Wakanda Vs Atlantis with Dr Doom sprinkled in is more exciting than anything those properties can ever produce. If marketed the right way, this movie can pull a billion

Why do it in this movie and not a namor solo movie? Namor isn't well known in real life, you always have to explain him as Marvels version of Aquaman, and his beef with BP has comic book history. Also I'm sure coogler being from Cali had a part to play in it, black/brown beef/unity and all that

That's a bunch of bs breh and you know it :mjpls:

The new Marvel character's don't need to be well known because of how strong the Marvel brand is.

You had people watching something like Moon Knight simply because it's... Marvel.

They would not throw in a bunch of black characters into a Mexican Namor Movie along with constructing a detailed backstory and mythology for said black characters, so why does the black IP and black director need to be the one to do it here with Mexican characters?

How does a black IP that's supposedly meant to be about afro-futurism suddenly descend into stuff with Mexicans and Mexican culture in the following entry? :dead:

Man the first (Civil War) costume was one of the most fire looking suits in the MCU and superhero film in general . I know Chadwick had problems with it but they could have kept the helmet design at least. The one in the solo film was not nearly as good.

There was barely any backstory and mythology established about Wakanda in Civil War.

They didn't even show you what it properly looked like or even explain where T'Challa's suit, powers and technology came from.

Design wise they just had T’Challa in a standard suit in and out of costume. They did not have multiple character designs like they do with Namor here.

Plot wise It was limited to; some people from Wakanda get killed, then the king is killed and the son of the king wants revenge.

The whole thing was kept simple and generic because they knew they were actually gonna make an actual Black Panther movie.

This movie on the other hand has Namor, his cousin, Atlanteans and even Namor’s primary arch villain. Then you’ve got them being given a mythology, backstory and culture. It’s essentially a Namor/Mexican superhero origin movie inside of a supposed Black Panther movie and black IP :scust:

:mjlol: Russos actually made a comic book accurate T'Challa and did better with Chadwick than Black people did with the BP IP. Thats facts.
No, that's just your opinion actually.
And the guy I just quoted said uh, "The whole thing was kept simple and generic . . . " and instead of disagreeing and voicing your obviously opposite opinion you dapped him and said the creator needs to be beat up. :mjlol:

It's not. Technical aspects of film direction are not just opinion.

What do you think they teach at film school? "Opinions" ... :mjlol:
Uh he said, "Russos actually made a comic book accurate T'Challa and did better with Chadwick than Black people did with the BP IP. Thats facts."

There's nothing technical about this comment. Nice try though. :mjlol:
