I don't think the source material is that important when it comes to comic book movies to a certain degree. Some of it just isn't practical. Some characters are too powerful, or it just doesn't look right. I'm honestly surprised they actually showed the Celestials to scale in the Eternals. It didn't look right to me.
They also retconned Hank Pym who should've had a larger role in the MCU. Most people at this point don't follow the comic books anyway. It is what it is.
Mexicans being thrown into a Black Franchise on some "all lives matter" shyt
DumbI’m guessing they made him and the Atlantean‘s Mayan/Aztec so they can avoid people comparing him to Aquaman.
Nah, in the comics, they are nothing alike. She was created for the sole purpose of vying for the throne. She was fearless, but she was brash, and jealous, and in way over her head. But she was out to prove to everyone, including herself, that she was capable of leading Wakanda. MCU Killmonger had some if her traits. She did a lot of growing up during her arc. The one consistent trait about T'Challa is that he's always calculating, and confident in his actions and decisions, and he'll live with the consequences. They're completely different...and when they really started working together, they were an incredible tandem.Nah Shuri was boring in the comics when they basically wrote her as "T'Challa but female". Making her the genius nerd of Wakanda in the MCU, gave her a separate identity and niche. Okoye practically occupies that fierce woman warrior role of Wakanda in the MCU already anyway.

MCU Shuri as the Q already pigeonholed her. There's no real place for her to go next. She's not a leader, not a fierce warrior, not an adventurer, and with them bringing in Riri, she won't have that intelligence upperhand factor either....unless they dumb Riri down
Idk how to feel about that Namor news we'll see how this plays out but idk
At this point they don’t have completion so there is nothing to compare the MCU to.Anyone else getting hour + long think pieces in their youtube feeds about how a past critically acclaimed, financially successful Marvel movie is actually not all that? Or is it just me?
