I don't think the source material is that important when it comes to comic book movies to a certain degree. Some of it just isn't practical. Some characters are too powerful, or it just doesn't look right. I'm honestly surprised they actually showed the Celestials to scale in the Eternals. It didn't look right to me.
They also retconned Hank Pym who should've had a larger role in the MCU. Most people at this point don't follow the comic books anyway. It is what it is.

With all this multiversal stuff. Theres no need to recast. Chadwick's t'challa can continue to be canon while are alternate one can be pulled from a different timeline or something. The people complaining about not recasting just lack creativity. Thats why Patrick Stewarts Professor Xavier and Tobey's Spiderman technically exists as part of the MCU now. Disney not recasting shyt anymore. Chadwicks black panther will always be Chadwicks black panther.
They might bring in a new T'challa at some point, same way Tom Holland is a new spiderman. But they not erasing Chadwick like ya'll want them to, because there is no reason to.
Mutliverse T'Challa would piss me off.
So essentially, you would be mad if they explained why a different actor is playing black panther. Even though everything else would be exactly the same as recasting.
Just recast, multiverse would be lazy ass writing. We didn't need an explanation for Rhodey, Banner and others.

Yep and because of that, whenever they do revist old era's. like in what if with Iron Man 1, they use those recasted actors and try to pretend the originals never existed. Chadwick doesn't need to be erased from the MCU in order to recast his role. Dude was already in like 5 movies. Make his recasting part of the story.
Nah Shuri was boring in the comics when they basically wrote her as "T'Challa but female". Making her the genius nerd of Wakanda in the MCU, gave her a separate identity and niche. Okoye practically occupies that fierce woman warrior role of Wakanda in the MCU already anyway.
