They rebooted the entire universe again? Marvel Comics what are you doing? :mindblown:

Anyway, I hope Coogler is on to WRITE AND DIRECT this. I can't have what happened to Creed play out with this. I don't have high hopes for Creed 2.

They're desperate and hopeless.

2.5 years ago it was "all new all different" with all these legacy heroes and a bunch of new #1 issues. Then 5 months ago they said, nah we're bringing all the original characters back and reverting back to original numbering for the old fans (so Avengers went from v5 issue #20 to just being issue #620, or whatever). And now 5 months later they've basically announced that they're renumbering again with another team reboot :dead:

Weapons wise, even tho this was his grand dad, it'd be damn cool to see T'Challa wielding these vibranium thangs in the sequel.

latest

Or the version where they aren't connected

latest

Hell, the border tribe essentially had a smaller version of that lol

Hell just to be extra ignorant, i'd also like to see them explore having Wakandan blades/swords that can absorb the kinetic energy from clashes with other blades/weapons/blunt surfaces/etc and have T'Challa be able to direct that shyt back on some Cloud Strife shyt lol

In the comics he can actually direct his suit's kinetic blast in specific directions but there's still a lot of room to be creative with the concept

If he can absorb kinetic energy /sound movement to the point he can absorb his own sound for him to move stealthy ... what if he can absorb people movements or the room sound so he can eliminate the sound in the room space

Example: It won't be that your not able to hear but the sound you would make would be automatic absorb by being near black panther. Meaning if you speak you wont hear the sound because its it automatically absorb samething for the room echoes

Lowkey i'd love for that to be some type of stealth EMP-type bomb or silent grenade tech that he can trigger and it instantly does what you're talking about. Everything within the field's radius gets their sound absorbed.

I really want them to go ignorant with it. We've seen how much Iron Man's suit has evolved over the course of his movies, so i want to see similar with BP. We already know the energy daggers need to come into play but they really got something special going on with this kinetic energy and sound absorbing stuff

Voice Cast Announced for LEGO Black Panther: Trouble in Wakanda

lego-marvel-2-black-panther.jpg

According to the synopsis, following Thanos’ arrival from outer space and his threat to destroy Earth, the Black Panther is forced to leap into action and try to bring him down alongside Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. However, it isn’t just Thanos they’re forced to take on; rogue villains Killmonger and Klaue will team up with the Mad Titan to bring the fight to Wakanda, and Black Panther and the Avengers will need to defeat them before Wakanda is destroyed.

Aside from Infinity War, this is the closest we gon get to revisiting the mcu characters before the actual sequel drops lol

Re: T'Challa

Ok, so even though i thought T'Challa was the best thing about the first movie [and that Chadwick put on an acting clinic], at this point i think we've heard some of the innanetz talk about how he was the least interesting character in his own movie or that his evolution was directly because of the villain.

Now i feel part of this is him being placed under a microscope in a way that Steve Rogers/Captain America didn't have to worry about; i.e. Steve is essentially the same type of character [super noble, super reserved, even-keel] and for a while was overshadowed by RDJ's Tony Stark [Cap actually had the least profitable/grossing movie out of the big 3]. It wasn't until Winter Soldier that Cap as a MCU character and franchise really turned the corner, imo.

So this whole Shuri thing [i.e.her jokes, ppl wanting her to be Iron Man, etc], reminds me a lot of that Tony Stark / Steve Rogers contrast early on. Except I feel Steve got somewhat of a pass for having a non-jokey/non-angry laid back demeanor [blandness] bc he was 'Captain Amurrrica', whereas there's an expectation for T'Challa to be more than that [plus Steve never had this type of supporting cast either]. Granted i think the general public doesn't give a crap and many praise Boseman but i've seen it mentioned enough times on the innantez at least.

So in the sequel, they can either double down on T'Challa being more jokey (i don't want that)... or they can make him be more of a savage in his fights scenes. <--- that's the route they need to go in. I thought his tribal challenge fights with M'Baku and Erik were superb but they need to ramp up the fight choreography for Boseman against the grunts and make ppl look forward to seeing him fight more. Okoye had the "oh shyt!" moment in the casino scene and pretty much every time she twirled her spear. T'Challa should be the male version of that, esp since he's a super soldier and can do more fukkery. That's something they did very well with Cap in TWS, in that elevator scene and the opening scene with the UFC fighter.

In fact, the more i think about CA:TWS, the more i realized that the Russos pretty much covered for Steve's "blandness" with how they crafted the story's conflict around him, much the same way Coogler did with T'Challa... but the only difference is Coogler gave us much more charismatic support characters.

i.e. Steve's essential character arc revolved around another man/villain [Bucky] just like it did with T'Challa [Erik] but Bucky as a character was essentially a vegetable who barely said anything and gave us no opposing viewpoints, basically just an evil super soldier. Natasha, Nick and Sam were cool but Sam's whole role from jump was to establish he was inferior to Steve/joke at his own expense ["on your left!"] and he flat out told the audiences later in the film that he was simply there as a slower, weaker version of Cap, to humble brag about Cap. They didn't even show us Sam's fight with Crossbones lol. Compare that and Natasha/Nick Fury/Sharon Carter's roles to what we saw out of Okoye, Nakia, Shuri, M'Baku, even Ross... even Sterling K Brown and John Kani, etc... and it's just no comparison.

So it almost seems like the Russos holding back on richer character development and villain motivation benefited Captain America more b/c all the characters pretty much helped magnify his own strengths. And by CA: Civil War, i'm not sure how interesting Cap even was there compared to the other characters, but by then the film was seen as Avengers 2.5 anyway, and again the central motivation for Cap's character arc was the 'villain' [who at this point we the audience know wasn't really a 'villain'].

That said, I prefer the route Coogler took with Black Panther. And that if anything, i think it'll make it easier to double down on T'Challa in the next one because the entire world has already been built.. and we can simply say now we have a T'Challa who is more experienced

I don’t even mind black panther being OP, because there are like 30 OP characters in marvel comics and none of them are black.

He absolutely should be "op". Because honestly, why not? Lol

He ate grenades, fell 100 ft down the vibranium mines, got clipped by a speeding train, hit by a roided rhyno..

He essentially has an Iron Man-lite suit but with superior finances and tech behind it. He should have cloaking, teleporting, and everything else that differentiates himself from stark tech.

No reason to half ass it when he's clearly superior to the typical street level guys
