Montrose is his dad, but they have an estranged relationship. Montrose told him they haven't spoken in 5 years, so why did he come. George & Atticus share a passion, and bond over sci-fi books. Montrose doesn't share that passion.

Ardham is a place ran by men that cultivates desire. As long as they are entranced, they can't disrupt anything.

That wasn't Atticus mom.

Yes. That was Atticus ancestor, Hanna...the only one that escaped the fire. Through her, Atticus is a direct descendent of Titus Braithwaite.

Everything about this episode was a severe step down .

The tension that was felt in the first episode was non existent in the second episode

The James Baldwin speech in the first episode was hard hitting and fit right along with the scenes it was playing over,Whitey on the moon just felt like a group of ppl throwing any random piece of black literature on screen to fill a quota

The pacing ? There isn’t any pacing .

Uncle George death was a waste. Might as well killed him off the first episode


I’ll stay engaged off the strength of the first episode but this was Empire levels of nonsense .Felt like a bad episode of True Blood.

Yeah episode 2 was a big drop off. The first episode was amazing,

The 2nd episode felt like a Doom Patrol episode, which would be great for DP but not for this

Yea episode 2 was a big drop off.

None of the suspense of the 1st...it just felt rushed and disjointed

And killing off Uncle George already was dumb, he is a strong character

Shoulda just marked Atticus' dad if they had to off someone

I was really intrigued by episode 1 but this shyt was off

Also they play music on this show a lot kinda like a CW Show

I think this is by design - from what I’ve read it’s going to play around with different tones in the horror genre so I think next week we’ll get a different tone again

When he wakes up, he describes the book he was reading to the lady when they're stranded outside the bus.

He's putting himself in the role of the "ex-Confederate" soildier involved in a war on Mars. But his dream is also mixed with Ctuluhu images, plus "War of the World's", plus Jackie Robinson.

i'm not going to pretend like i liked the second episode as much as the first one, but my questions for the people who couldn't follow it is... are you doing other shyt while watching or something? texting or scrolling through IG or something?

it was weird as fukk no doubt, but it was pretty simple to follow i thought.

i haven't even read the books, but never really felt lost. if anything i felt a little more lost at the jumping around in the first half of the first episode, but i admittedly was paying attention to two things at once that night.

anyway i didn't think it was as good as the pilot, but it didn't really turn me off. wish unc survived because i really liked his acting.
