Rewatching the first Thor after seeing the first episode of Loki. I never understood why people didn't like the first Thor movie. It's really underrated in my opinion. Anthony Hopkins owns every scene he's in. Anyway, after seeing Loki, seeing the scenes with a young Loki is kinda heartbreaking. He has so much hope & innocence when he looks to his brother, of course, that's before he finds out he's different and adopted.

the world building, sets and effects design are amazing. the rainbow bridge effect. the hammer sounds. the look of asgard. all done to a better standard than the Thor I script IMO

I wanna ask y'all nikkas, I was a cartoon watcher big in the 90's but I never followed comics and Thor was pretty much non existant in the cartoon universe I grew up in.

Why is Thor and Loki so big now? To me, Thor has been the best Marvel character. But Thor didn't have a 90's cartoon so it seems like dude came out of nowhere.

Yeah a lot/if not all the weird and cosmic side of marvel fell off hard in the 90s. X-Men, Spider-Man and X-men adjacent stuff became Marvel's bread and butter. Thor, Dr. Strange etc all just limped through that era.

It’s funny, I actually think this is the weakest show of the Disney+ shows, but last episode was a good one. We’ll see how it wraps up.

With kid Loki in the picture, maybe young avengers will happen? So far confirmed right now are:

-cassie Lang (quantamania)

-Kamala khan (ms marvel+captain marvel)
-Spider-Man (MoM+NoWayHome)

There’s also still the possibility of iron heart, Harley keener and shuri to join in some capacity as well. Maybe since the MCU showed us heroes who are more grown (most look or are in their late 30s) this new phase is meant to highlight young millennial heroes.

Since Loki’s whole story in mythology is about death and rebirth, why not kill the older variant in this show and have him reborn as kid Loki in the MCU?

this new phase looks like it has so much potential and part of it is the pay off of setting up so much lore And characters from past films
