Remember early on in the movie when he was talking to his social worker, she mentioned him being hospitalized before, and they cut to him in an all white room banging his head on the door. This looked very similar to where he was at the end.

The question is was that quick cut a flashback or where he was the entire movie, and everything we saw was him telling the therapist his "joke"

it was alright, honestly i thought it was a little over hyped..but a solid movie nonetheless

was Joaqim great in the role, sure? oscar worthy?.. idk, most movies are trash these days but i didn't walk out blown away by his performance

with that said,

Heath is still the GOAT joker, anyone who says otherwise is straight lying or full of shyt
Phoenix gets a pass bc it was an origin film and there was really only 20 minutes of him being full joker at the end...but its not enough to surpass heath

Sequel would have to have batman in it and I don't see how that is possible. They are already working on a new batman trilogy and this joker probably doesn't fit into that. I would bet matt reeves has joker somewhere in the mix in his 3 trilogies too. The new batman is supposed to come out in like 2021. Maybe Batman can just be at the end of hte new joker? I duno once Joker really becomes joker you need a protagonist to go against him and it can't just be commissioner Gordon or maybe it could.

Movies gonna need another watch because he was 100% crushing up pills and then handing his mom stuff without showing us if he was taking it or if he was giving it to her, if it was his medicine or hers etc.

Since we’ve established that Joker is not a reliable narrator we honestly can’t trust anything we’ve see and now we specifically got to watch it a second and third time to piece together the truth.

So many questions.

Did he point his moms food with his medicine?

when did he actually stop taking medicine since we never see him take it?

what did he do with the girl and her daughter ?

Was his mom really insane or did Wayne cover it up?

if it was a cover up, than he was never really beat by his moms boyfriend and he’s crazy on his own....which means he was potentially poisoning and then killed his own mother.

was the initial cut to him in the ward a flash forward or a flash back??!

when he killed his co worker because of the gun, did the co worker really give him the gun or did he take it from him? He narrates it like he gave it to him, then tried to tell his boss that he didn’t, but then his co worker is acting all nervous when they show up at his place to ‘get their stories straight’ implying that making he never gave it to Author at all and now he’s worried that he’s going to get in trouble.

Movie was just ok to me. Could of saved that $12 and wait for it to come out on a streaming service I already pay for.​

Ok... I wanna debate this....
Cause it feels like everyone in the world says what u said about heaths performance but I never got it... I liked it, but it was never special.
I heard all the hype before hand... how he was in a dark place and his performance was so dark and disturbing.

I expected what I saw from Pheonix in this joker movie, from heath in that Dark Knight movie.
I never got that feeling.

Because these are different types of movies... I'm not gonna bash heath on that..
I just have to compare his performance to something else.

Jack Nicholson's joker... and I felt like he did it better than heath.

Now, I feel like they all did a great job..
They are professionals.
But this whole notion that Heath Ledger had some Daniel Day Lewis type of performance in that movie is some bullshyt I can not, and will never agree with

Jack Nicholson's joker was just him acting goofy, Ledger and Phoenix crush him any day.
