Waiting for a breakdown of all the scenes that were fantasy.

On second watch, I realized he was just imagining himself on the Murray Show when he was watching it with his mom. That went over my head the first time around.
its getting to the point that anything good in his life is an illusion

at best.
this movie if you use some wacked out imagination is the origin to lego batman.
past that,...
another vertigo take.
where you will never get a concurrent quality take.

Was he sharing a bed with his mother? It didn’t look like a two bedroom apartment, and there wasn’t blankets and pillows near the couch.

:ld:

This pretty much summed it up for me. A couple of Wayne references, but other than that, they used the name recognition to get this film hyped.

Had it just been called Arthur, with the same plot and trailer, not set in Gotham, it wouldn’t have been as widely anticipated.

There were 2 single beds next to each other

IMO doing a sequel is possible and pretty easy. We've seen the world of Gotham through Joker's eyes....and to him the politcians were shyt, Thomas Wayne was a piece of shyt and everyone who he killed deserved that shyt. Now the sequel I'd do from Bruce's POV since he has a connection with everyone important in Joker. Use Bruce's movie to unravel and twist things we thought we established. Was Thomas Wayne really a jerk? Are the people of gotham really deserving of help? We saw the view from the bottom looking up top, that's why we hated those idiots on the train. Now lets flip...from Bruce's POV growing up as a kid, lets actually see how Thomas and his company legit tried to help the unfortunate....how the Wayne enterprise tried to do good but their efforts went in vain. It would add so much perspective to this "everybody is in the gray area" theme we got going right now.

I disagree.

We've seen every Batman movie since the 80's with him as the main character. As the hero.

Make the next Batman movie from Joker's perspective. Take elements of "A Death In The Family"....shyt would print money.

What’d be a good title for a sequel? This doesn’t seem like the type of movie that should have ‘2’ tacked onto it.

Well since some saying “make a sequel from Batman’s perspective”

The only logical choice is “BRUCE”:frank1:

I have a theory that he was the one who
killed the waynes.
him riding in the police car looking a the alley couldve been him reflecting on that spot and action.

After all when it comes to psychology a lot of times the things happened ..just not the way the person says

a whole Tarantino style 10 minute conversation with Joaquin Phoneix Joker and an A list actor playing Batman would be amazing

I wasn't laughing because the movie had almost zero comedic moments. It's just a dark dirty bleak movie. No jokes here.

Those were some little chuckle type scenes. Only scene I thought was funny was the apartment scene with the midget and the dude he killed. I legit laughed there.
