The more I think about it the more I like. This was a great film period not just a great comic book movie. This movie got depth and layers that will make you appreciate it with additional viewings. I imagine people going in expecting what they see MCU and DCEU will be disappointed, but oh well
Great movie. My only criticism is that it shows only half of the jokers origin and that left me a bit unsatisfied. It's needs a part 2. We see him transform from mentally disturbed to full blown physcopath but what we didn't see was his transformation into underground criminal mastermind. Would have been nice to see him plan some crime and carry it out at the end instead of just impulse killings.
Wtf? That's not how it happened
Everyone was panicking telling him not to do it and he blew his brains out 15 seconds after taking the gun out the envelope.
He certainly did not do an entire speech with a gun in his hand
do you think "in real life" a person who just confessed to a triple homicide on national TV would be allowed to sit up there and continue interviewing?
Fantastic film. 9/10. I'm not even comic book fan like you guys, as a film it's a great film. A non-comic book fan will admire this film for what it is, a work of art.
This man deserves the Oscar. Anybody else good this year or up to par? Not for a moment in the film did I even look at my phone to see how much time left in the film. I never for a moment thought I was looking at Joaquin Phoenix. Felt sympathetic to him, as anyone else should.
I don't usually comment on it, but the score was amazing. Really made sense with the film.
That scene with the midget tryna get out killed me. He kissed him on his head and told him to scidaddle since he was the only nice person he ever encountered. He just wanted to be loved is all. Everyone fukked him over, even down to his mother
they been saying the Joker and the upcoming Batman movie are set in separate universe for a hot minute. Plus Joker would be in his mid 50s early 60s if they did
Man I wonder if they gonna do rogues galleries movies. Bane's background could interesting. He grew up in the prison system and look what it turned him into.
Its a okay movie, but it does everything I hate with modern movies.
It tries to humanize a piece of shyt. SMH. Now days you can't ever have a person simply be a miserable piece of shyt, they have to try to make it "reasonable" for the person to be how they are.
this movie is a failure to me, especially since its a one off elsewhere type story.
But even bad people can be empathized and there's an abundance of evidence to show why he is who he is. He wasn't dealt a hand of cards the average person is. Children shouldn't have an upbringing like that.
