No Whammies!!
first episode is dope

but i can't help but imagine how much better it would be in live action

Man that shyt was horrifying!

He tore that planet up in like 2 minutes.

The music too.

:merchant:

This is an example of something that would NOT have worked in live action.

Its a blessing and a curse. Part of me wishes this was in live action because I WANT to recommend it, but I'm reluctant to recommend that grown people start watching a cartoon.
But I have no problem recommending "The Boys" to anyone.

The animation and use of music reminds me of The Boondocks. I really enjoyed this show. The cast of this show is incredible you can probably get people to watch it off these names if they aren't into cartoons.

Looks like there will be 8 episode for the season. Should I watch each week or wait to binge:jbhmm:

A Villa Straylight.
Earlier on in the first episode when the kid was trying to think of names for himself and he came up with "Asskicker", I thought:
"I swear, if this show turns into a clone of "Kick Ass", I'm out of here an not looking back"
This show and kick ass are miles apart just like comics.

Just wait, the action gets better as the series goes on.
There is a certain fight that makes Vegeta first coming to Earth look like a Bar Fight.

I can't spoil, but they better not fukk up one of the best comic book fights ever.
I'd compare it more to Superman vs Darkseid in JLU.
Mark didn't need help.

The ending of episode one:unimpressed:

Its good so far. Never read the comic but why does there always have to be a Superman type character:patrice:

Something I thought of looking back at the "planet destroying" scene.
Don't spoil me if its a "major" spolier, but does OmniMan not have any heat/laser vision or equivalent range skills? It seems like he fights by physically flying into things.

In my mind I'm doing the old childish "who would win?" scenario, and I'm wondering if he would have any way to stand up to Homelander if they started off at a distance :yeshrug:
