Thats not entirely true. The Japanes version of the same film had godzilla as the winner. And I know it's a Zilla movie but Ghidora causing all this havoc and Kong out there hiding and even attempting to show up.

Also Ghidora was putting in work the whole movie. Zilla couldnt handle the gawd by himself kept getting his ass whoop and running away for recoup. Needed outside interference atvleast rhree time to finally take the gawd down.

I think my favorite scene was Rodan going on those planes
