Baelish has legit been the smartest character on the show. He had never been in a bad spot since the start of the show ffs.
I agree with the others, his death and how it came about was underwhelming.
Outfoxed by two young girls when he probably had more brains than everyone in that room combined
More brains than a guy who can see everything that is happening and has ever happened?
Some of you guys need to take Littlefinger's nuts out of your mouths. Sure, he was a master manipulator, but he wasn't a fukking god. It was always clear to me that his life would end with one of his schemes blowing up in his face, and it made sense that this would happen in the North. The kingdom that was most unlike the others. Littlefinger was a shell of himself up there. Y'all tryna paint him as some omniscient being, always two steps ahead of everybody, but then explain how he fukked up with the Bolton's? He made a pact with Roose, only to see him murdered a few episodes later. He completely missed on judging Ramsay (D&D confirmed on an inside the episode that he didn't know what he was getting Sansa into). And Ramsay's prowess was no secret in the North, at least not at the Dreadfort, cuz Ramsay once bragged about how everybody there was afraid of him by the time he met the kennelmaster's daughter when they were like ten. Y'all need to accept that while he great at what he did in King's Landing and the surrounding kingdoms, he was out of his element in the North.
I will cede that Bran saying "chaos is a ladder" to his face should have spooked him and caused him to take action. Everyone knew Bran was claiming to be able to see visions, that should have confirmed it for Littlefinger and he should have known it spelled danger for him and caused him to take some actions.
