Does he though? From the scene with Sam and the reveal with Littlefinger it seemed he can channel the treeternet when he knows what he should look for. If not, he just gets random shyt from the past and present.

I mean, it would make sense for him to know and tell AeJon and his army but it's the kind of shyt the show brushes off to have more drama for a couple of episodes. I think either Jamie or Theon - once he realizes Euron ain't in the Iron Islands - will be the ones telling Jon what is really going on.
