What's funny is that they gave a pretty good idea of time passage when they showed how much Jorah healed after getting skinned alive.

I'm pretty sure that was legit overnight, tho, cuz the Arch Maester told him he could stay one night (and fall on his sword if he wanted to). That's the one gripe I'll agree with.

@hex - I could understand if Targset was calling Jon a Starkaryen. That would be cool...and accurate, per R+L.

But these dudes want to erase Lyanna Stark when that has been the only true blood line confirmation this far. Bruh...

He really hasn't shown any tho. Take away the wildfire trap in Blackwater (which he would have still lost had Tyson not shown up) and what major W's has he collected? Think back to last season when he though he had a deal with the slave masters. Grey Worm and Missendei told him he fukked up and he didn't realize that until they attacked Mereen. Remember when he thought no one knew Shae was in the city until he walked in and saw Varys sitting there with her like
I think his quick wit and sharp tongue just got him looking like he out here collecting Ws but truth is, other than surviving and coming into Dany's service, he really doesn't win very often.

He's a good dude, with good intentions, and he's sensible. I think in the long run he's gonna be a good ying to that yang Olenna was getting at about Dany acting like the dragon that she is.

She was damn near ready to off Jon Snow and Tyrion basically convinced her to throw him that dragonglass and get him on the team. That's his forte, not tactical decisions. She needs another voice in the room when it comes to those moves, Jorah could be that guy.

Ned would've made the rest of the the North march with stannis though.

Ned was all about being honorable and following the rules. If he took the black and Stannis or anyone else came calling he would have spouted out something about an oath sworn for generations and blah blah blah.

Tyrion might not be winning the major battles right now but he's proving his worth in other ways.

The big one for me is that when he sent the letter to Jon to call for him to come to Dragonstone, he didn't mention that Jon needed to come to bend the knee.

Dany specifically told Tyrion to tell Jon to come to pledge fealty and lay down his crown, but Tyrion left that out of the letter. If he would have sent the letter Dany told him to send, in her usual my way or the high way words, there probably would have been even greater resistance from the northern lords to Jon leaving, on some "if you don't bend the knee then she'll burn you." And this time Jon might have listened.

But instead, he used a line Jon would understand as friendly, and appealed to ending Cersei's reign as allies, rather than kneeling before Dany as her subject.

That was smart on Tyrion, and continues to show that he might lose some battles (they all do, Tywin was winless against Robb in battle) but they find ways to win the war.

Also, he did a good job pushing Jon towards asking Dany for something smaller than outright support for his mission.

Exactly. Just like Tyrion ain't part of Lannister set, Jon ain't part of Targ set. Get over it. We know who his sperm donor was, no one denies that, he just ain't part of your set.

He's a Stark because Ned aka the most honorable man in the history of the 7 kingdoms, said he was a Stark and raised him as a Stark. Not Ned's fault Jon had a flute playing, ruby wearing pansy for a sperm donor. Imagine if that soft nikka raised Jon. The North would be in deep shyt right now.
