Eh not really. Book Ned is never talked about as being anything special as a fighter. His strength was more as a leader and commander. Ned had no rep like that. Jaime had that rep.

At least 50% of the shyt the Lannisters are going through is partly because of Cersei's machinations. I don't know why her and Jamie came to the small council meeting thinking they were about to boss up on Kevan and Olenna; both of them are oldheads and are definitely about the shyts.
