That quote started this little back and forth. You guys know exactly what dude meant by the statement but decided to go with the extreme literal interpretation. Ned "wanted" Stannis to be king because he was the next in line He would have wanted anyone who was the next in line to be king regardless, because Ned's all about honor and following the laws of the land is the honorable thing to do. @Food Mane was clearly talking about(I don't like talking for other nikkas so he can clarify if he wants) who Ned would choose based on merits and worthiness if line of succession wasn't an issue. The same way we argue about who would be the best person to sit on the Iron Throne, the discussion was about whether Ned thought Stannis would be a good choice. Which goes back to my point about this weird connection I've seen some Stark stans try to create between Stannis and the Starks when there is no connection or any love shown in the books or show between the two factions.

i think there were even less than that. They were really feelin themselves for 2-3 episodes when Theon took over Winterfell

I'm not going to lie for those 2-3 episodes, as much as I hated him for being such a bytchass-traitorous, coward, I actually thought he was going to get respect from his peoples. They all shyt on him anyway.
Then Ramsay got him.
