I think I read that the "Blackwater" ratings were crap on Memorial Day weekend so they scrapped it. Don't want your major episodes to be your least watched, its bad for word of mouth I guess

I guess my thing is: "least watched" by what metric?

If a new episode gets 3 million views the first week it airs, who cares what percentage comes on the first airing (particularly for an aberration weekend like memorial day)? It's not like they have advertisers who would, legitimately, balk at paying full price for an expected lower than normal viewing audience.

Hell since on-demand now has showings that disable fast forwarding, even ad supported channels should be somewhat less concerned about holidays.
