my 2 gripes with the movie

billy loomis digitally de-aged. i'm so sick of this dexter ass trope of dead people talking to people in the present. i did kind of like that last one before she went ham though. i'm also upset that "Hello sidney, it's an honor" wasn't in the final movie and they said "it's an honor" after dewey got got

Yeah the ghost bits took me out of it a bit. Maybe Sam can embrace that dark side in future installments. We got a sneak peek at it and it wasn’t pretty.

I’m glad Kirby from Scream 4 was confirmed to be alive in this. Don’t know if Craven ever intended on bringing her back, but I feel like he would’ve since she never did actually die on-screen

I think they could have done a better tie in, or really just scrap it in general, being that it was the same town and a small one at that all of the meta stuff in a 2020 context still works. They could have simply had the teens spend time learning the history of Stab + using reddit and youtube to connect clues. Even mentioning 4ch and reddit they could have made it where there was a live thread where the posters were betting on or predicting what happens next and egging on the killer.
