Devon Alexander, and Corpse Morales beat the shyt out of Maidana, dream away bytch nikka:skip:

And Maidana couldnt KO Khan or Broner who had basically out on his feet in the 2nd round after he "was looking washed up in the ropes" and then down again in the 8th.....but they went the full 12. I dont know where this myth of Maidana having "1 punch KO power" is coming from that Robert Garcia is walking around talking about:manny:

Floyd's never even been down in a fight, officially, and has a great chin plus amazing defense. AND he's fought opponents with just as much or more power and still walked through them.

This article puts everything into perspective

In the end, the opponent is largely irrelevant. Mayweather is the spectacle. We're not buying any particular fight or opponent at this point. He's the attraction, his flair, style and boxing bonafides drawing us in despite every reason not to watch. Marcos Maidana, Amir Khan, Timothy Bradley—who's across the ring hardly matters.

It's Floyd's world. We're just here for the show.

It's not Floyd's fault he's the best fighter by far from 140-154:yeshrug:

It's a big set up right now. Floyd beats maidanna.. Floyd fights Cotto next with Broner and Maidana on the undercard at the Barclay Center as he gives Khan a chance to prove himself and get at least 3 good fights in him to talk shyt to Floyd about ducking him. Then Floyd will choose probably Khan as his next opponent and Garcia as his last opponent unless he can get Pacman. We are watching a legend at the end of career. Enjoy it while he still got 3 more in him regardless of who he's fighting right now. He's done it all except Pac. fukk Bob for that.:salute: the legend.

:heh:that's the writer's perspective and you happen to agree with it...im trying to see if i can be at sergio-cotto live at MSG without hearing about a undercard yet...how it should be :myman:...floyd-maidana im deciding on whether or not i shell out money for this to watch on PPV depending on the undercard because the main event isn't cutting it lol

Matthysse-Thurman would make this buy worthy. Thinking Thurman would finish what Garcia started and finish it inside 12.
Broner about to see the real differences between him and Floyd.
Breh Matthysse would be a big mistake for Thurman. We ain't seen Thurman against real power yet.

I'm rolling with Thurman in this. Thurman has a good chin, the two punches that stunned him were perfectly placed (he needs to clean up his defense), but he didn't appear seriously hurt and recovered well. Hell, Garcia got tagged perfectly by Judah and almost went down.
Matthysse seems like a natural 140 lb'er and will be small at 147...Thurman has a body that is physically very strong and imposing.
I think it is a close fight - people often underate Matthysse (I thought he beat Alexander, but lost to Judah)...but I would pick Thurman in that match up.

Maidana seems like he is actually the type of fighter to do what he actually says. Rush in with no regard for safety to get to Mayweather. And that's why this seems more interested than any of the other fights.
