what do you do after someone has OD'd and run right back to drugs? when putting your foot down doesn't work because they dont give a fukk what they do to themselves, never mind what you'd do to them?

You either enable them or cut them off. That's the only options. That moment when Rue hopped out the car and her sister was spazzin' was some real shyt, because at that point, you legit could never see your loved one again. They off they meds, on drugs and running around with no phone. It's a small window but that's probably where a lot of homeless people become homeless. If Rue doesn't hop out of that window at the end, if she ever saw her moms again, she prolly not going to have most of her teeth and a gang of STDs

My girl has addicts in her fam and the whole episode triggered tha shyt outta here. They do shyt like Rue did, that shyt wasnt unrealistic...only unrealistic part was the cop chase....no way she gets away irl limping like she was and withdrawing to boot

My ex's family is full of addicts. Her mom did coke and legit chose her dad and coke over here and her sister. Her uncle was on meth, stole the grandpa's car, did all kinds of shyt, and when he finally sobered up he killed himself. shyt like that is not out of the ordinary. People are lucky they haven't had to deal with shyt like this. I rather deal with an alcoholic over an opiate or meth addict any day.

Nah, Cal doesn't know Maddie has it. Nate knows tho. He realized the disc was gone after he and Maddie got into an argument in his room one night.

When his pops confronted him about Fez, Nate told him that Fez had the tape because he's lowkey protecting Maddie... he also knows that if her dad approached Maddie about the tape, she'd expose everything.

I had binged through S1 as S2 was just starting, so the stuff is fresh in my head.

You gotta remember…Rue has told the viewer from jump that she is an unreliable narrator. She also told you that she ain’t shyt either..

So everything we are seeing is from her POV..some of this shyt could have happened. Some of it could have been exaggerated..

Just depends who you ask..

Didn't even see it that way. Because a lot of that seemed as if she put extra on it.

I remember reading the spoiler for this episode and trying to get mentally prepared for it when it was coming up. Hell Zendaya posting on IG ahead of the episode giving folks a heads up on what’s to come had me mentally ready.

But nothing prepared you for seeing it all go down for that 1 hour..

Just the first 5 minutes was ALOT to process. And it just kept GOING..like it didn’t stop.

The rage on Rue’s face when she realizes that Jules snitched on her had me like

This episode has stayed with me ever since I watched it last night. I never had that happen to me when it comes to a series. But this particular episode is still in my mind even after I watched it.

And i know Zendaya is more then likely getting that Emmy for this episode but I’m tired of seeing my follow black people be depicted as the stereotype just for us to awarded for it. Halle had to damn near do porn to win hers, and Denzel had to be a slave and a crooked cop to get his.

Now Zendaya won (and most likely will win another) Emmy for this performance of a drug addict. And she does it well too..

This episode felt very “Requiem Of A Dream.” It’s one of those episodes i don’t think I can bring myself to watch it in full again. Maybe in bits and pieces..

Even though I read the spoilers for what’s to come…I’m kinda scared for what’s gonna happen next

this was a good episode. outrunning the cops and breaking into the house and escaping after being found was wild but everything else seems on point.

i'm not a parent to a drug addict but it felt like rue's mom handled that poorly. of course this is TV so they need to be dramatic but i think any mother i know would have put their foot down and not take that shyt.
