"the phone is ringing from Hollywood" - Sasha

:ohhh: :ohhh:

honestly from a financial and freedom perspective, Sasha should wrap up her WWE career the same way Ambrose did ... just quietly ride out the ABSURD "independent contractor" contract and then move on to the movies. that way WWE won't have any control nor any rights to steal from her financially down the road.

hell, even if she has to trademark her name as something else (if Vince won't give it up) ... it will be worth it for her.

Is the character that he’s currently portraying that’s the problem.

During his time on Smackdown, hell even during his babyface phase when he was feuding with Shane he was intriguing enough to hold the main belt.

Now he’s back to playing the same ol dumb character from a decade and a half ago that no one wants to see or care for.

Miz when he had Maryse by his side was gold :wow: his character had finally growed up. Now he's in his second childhood again and this title win feels 4-5 years too late.

long post, but this Sasha interview got me annoyed with some shyt...

you know, it's funny how it's always just a one way street when it comes to WWE and their "independent contractor" contracts...

even someone like John Cena to this day is still kicking back 10% of his outside projects to Vince ... and Cena himself was quoted once on the Howard Stern Show saying "I don't mind kicking back 10% to the guy who gave me the platform to get here" ..... and while that is admirable and true from a businesses perspective ... it's not even remotely close to being equal and why is it NEVER reciprocated the other way? John Cena brought a TON of value to the WWE product single handily himself and he should be compensated for it.

now stay with me... I'm talking about the top name stars who sell merchandise and push numbers. talking about the top 10% of the wrestlers who sell the product and are popular (whether you personally like them or not)..... we're not talking about smart mark favorites .....back in the day the mega-stars like Austin, Rock, Cena, etc. ... and even to this point today with the female stars like Sasha and Bliss (they're the two most popular females on social media and consistently the biggest merchandise moving machines for females)

why is it that a Cena, a Sasha, etc.. should be expected to kick back money to WWE, but it NOT go the other way? why should WWE not have to kick back some to the stars who helped MAKE their company great? ... where would WWE be without Hogan in the 80's? where would they be without Austin and Rock in the 90's?, etc. .... all of them should be getting kick backs in more ways than one. it shouldn't just be a lopsided, absolute control of the money for their entire careers.

that sasha interview was good because she don't seem like some of these indy people that get into wrestling to play around.

I caught the first 45 minutes of her talk with Austin but look, I respect the fact that she had that laser sharp focus from an early age in regards to getting into wrestling, and never wavered from it. Even if it meant her had ultimately ended up in Japan or Mexico.

That circles around to the “play around” comment...and I don’t wanna sound like a “Sasha Stan” but those other ladies talking about her not being nice behind-the-scenes and all that stupid shyt...Sasha deserves to be where she’s at. She works hard, kept the focus, and has that IT factor. And when she needed her break, she deserved that too. Ply your trade down in Nashville or wherever, stop hating, and accept your blessings if they come.

That’s typical for WWE and wrestling as a whole really. Most title runs happen way later than they should, striking while the iron is hot rarely happens as often as it should. Even after that trash feud with Shane Miz should’ve been in the World title mix, but he’s been spinning his wheels for years now so of course he’d get the title when he’s ice cold as a character and the least interesting he’s been in years.

And that's why breaks are necessary. That grind wears you down.

The WWE has always banked on that “we compete 300+ days a year, with no offseason like other sports” mantra, not realizing that they could vastly be better actually having an off-season.

How come Lee was pulled from the triple threat match?

100% agree. Miz was dope during that couple years.

Maryse need to get on a plane to Tampa and Miz open back up that suit closet because THIS is what needs to show up tomorrow night on Raw....
