Lol I figure that’s what most people are doing. I read the first book during quarantine, it’s really fukking good, and isn’t typical Sci Fi tropy. Hope it does well so we get sequels.

Visually great, the acting was good, and the sound was perfect. The only problem I had with the movie is that it felt rushed. There is very little context for a lot of things; if you haven't read the book, you really won't get the significance of what is happening or who certain characters are. I suspect that won't be a problem for a lot of people, but for me personally, what made Dune great was the worldbuilding and the politics. Very little of each IMO, but I suppose there's only so much you can do with Dune in movie format. Like I said though, it still looks incredible.

Still going through the book, it’s a slow burn. Hope to catch this in IMAX before they pull it from theaters.
i did. It's very palatable for someone like me who has little to zero knowledge of this franchise. It's not the best, but it's a decent plot and the visuals are stunning at points.
I don't know anything about the movie....but Dennis is a master so I'm seeing......
