He may not have "killed" them but he is 100% responsible for their deaths..

The "code" doesn't work in the end... that's one thing the OG seasons made clear. Kurt seen right through Dexter's rationalizations... Dexter never cared about "justice" he's only did it to get his "fix".

how is he responsibile? Dexter was willing to turn himself in or was considering it

in regards to his fix, dexter went years without killing anyone
most brehs can't even go a few days without fapping succumbing to their porn addiction

Kurt was a very hateable bad guy. They did great so far in this season

To me, he’s probably the second best antagonist Dexter has had. Can’t call him a villain because Dexter is essentially a villain. I thought he went out easier than he should’ve, though. This guy clearly has long reach and influence all over that town. They probably could’ve stretched the cat/mouse game with him and Dexter a little longer. He could’ve been Trinity Killer level, if they had. Clancy Brown was great.

Spoiler: Finale Prediction

So I think that Iron Lake is actually a prison, this entire season is a fantasy in Dexter's head... The finale is him being executed, my guess will be that maybe they will try to write the wrongs and have seasons 5-8 be fantasy in his head as he was waiting on death row, and that he was caught as trinity's killer, harrison is there to see Dex for the last time, the podcaster is there clearing Doakes name as the bay harbor butcher, Deb is still alive and raising harrison, All the people in this season are all people that he see's in the prison... Angela is a CO that he has a crush on, Kurt is the one that administers the lethal injection, the billionaire who runs the whole city is the warden and so on... Batista is gonna be there to witness Dexters execution... and so on

The original ending that Clyde wanted for the series was Dexter would be caught and the ending would be him walking down the hallway and seeing all his victims and then he gets strapped to the table as we go to black

Wouldn’t be particularly original. Ending as dream sequences has been done to death, and most with poor results. I saw this floating around on the net. How exactly would he have been caught?
