Something else I didn't know until last night: If you were watching the Spanish language feed of Over the Edge 1999, you can actually hear the impact Owen's body makes on the ring when he falls. The commentators are translating his interview, and they immediately have to break from their translation duties to let everyone know what happened. Can't remember the name of the video, but it's out there.

This was a tough watch that company is demonic as fukk man the beards aren't a lot better either w their hof bullshyt and how they have talked about Owen wife all these years while she was out here helping poor people, kids and shyt.

I pulled up the PPV on the network, there's blood in the ring but its there during the first match of the night.

yea that was sloppy on Dark Side of the Ring's part in this episode. the blood they kept focusing on and showing on the ring canvas was there when the show started (likely from a dark match) and had nothing to do with Owen's fall. guess they felt like it would add more dramatics to the episode, but that type of misleading stuff doesn't do anyone any favors.

I rewatched the episode again and shyt...I teared up a bit. When they showed a home video of Owen saying hopefully one day all the bumps and bruises would be worth it so he could take care of his family it really hit.
