Which ties into.

Killmonger wasn't talking black empowerment. He basically wanted to take over the world and overthrow all governments. He was actually a villain here. The stuff he was saying wasn't all wrong but he was well past good intentions with his actions.
Nah breh he took on Wakandan isolationist rhetoric and threw it back in all the elders faces
Black people been getting enslaved and treated like shyt for 100s of years and here you have this advanced nation who been living good the whole time ignoring the plight of the rest of the community
Wakanda was already poised to overthrow all the rest of the world's gov't they had sleeper agents in all gov't around the world
All Killmonger was trying to do was break the isolationist BS and bring Wakanda's tech to the rest of the world through conquest.
Not saying dude wasn't a villain on some level but he was doing it for the right reasons

bingo...as beautiful as it is to see a 99% black cast with a black director doing all this winning....the idea that Hollywood will automatically ride this wave maybe a bit misguided. There is a chance that a few more majority black films get greenlit (and maybe thats a win in itself) but a MAJOR reason for the success of the Black Panther is...its a comic book movie and them shyts are cash cows....you can make a hero movie about a retarded kid with powers...if Marvel is doing it...its gon make money
Coogler, Chadwick and Mike B bout to really take off. Doubt it'll help blacks in general, but those individuals about to blow up even more

Saw the movie last night and it was good. IMO one of the best Marvel movies since Winter Solider.

Michael B Jordan clearly stole the show and i wished the movie gave him more screentime.

The visual effects were :wow: the costume designs were :wow: the action scenes were :gladbron:

Ryan Coogler did a good job making this a part of the MCU but did just enough to make the movie stand on its own.

Marvel really is running this shyt :bryan:

It DOES help blacks in general. People don’t think about Michael B. Jordan’s production company. Chadwicke has his own production company and is going to start directing his own films soon. Coogler has his own production company. They ALL employ black people. Writers, producers, costume designers, film editors, etc. this film’s success allows the talent involved more freedom to continue producing their OWN work, with their own clientele.

It’s a trickle down effect that allows Black people to give OTHER black people employment opportunities

Will was a bytch...don't ever use that analogy again. Nygga got ran out of Philly like a hoe and got sent to live with his successful Judge of an Uncle.
^^^^This, the idea that there’s any comparison to Killmonger and Will is dumb as fukk. Also T’Challa is Carlton????? Did anyone watch civil war? Did anyone watch this movie? T’Challa was one of the coolest people on screen every time he stepped in a room. Comparing him to Carlton is dumb as fukk as well

He's a dumbass that missed the entire premise of the movie.....bitter nikkas went to a fictional movie and got butt hurt over a fictional premise...
They killed the actual revolutionary just so they could have T'Challa adopt a more palatable version of Killmonger's platform :francis:

Great movie.

I need kilmongers wire eyeglasses:whoo:
In the not to distant future I see killmonger stans in my midst.

Then some nikka will do something killmongerish and black panther 2 will be watered down in the race angle.

Bp next villain need to be a white nationalist with the ultimate black love action movie

T'Challa IS Carlton. Sheltered to the reality of his people and forced to accept the lives of his people outside of his walled off world.

Sheltered? Explain that one.
Have you even watched The Fresh Prince?

Carlton basically initially is unaware the reality of the average black person and that he has an opportunity, if not a responsibility, to help others out and to service the community, even if he thinks' hes better than everyone else.

Will Smith/Killmonger want that affluence to reach back to those who helped him and to make the ties that the rest of the world doesn't want him to.

Its literally the same shyt we talk about on here.

I'm sorry, but Carlton wasn't out hunting someone who killed his father and slapping around Captain America. It is a stupid as shyt comparison. Especially after what he does at the end of the film. Remember even before Erik showed up he was considering doing something for people outside of Wakanda.
